THE MCHENRY PLAINDEALER "SERVING THE CHAIN-O-iAKE S REGION SINCE 1S75" SECTION 2, VOL. 91 - No 30 Wednesday, December 20, 1967 INEZ YOUNG WOMEN'S CLUB ENJOYS ANNUAL YULETIDE PARTY The Christmas spirit was very much in evidence last Wednesday evening at the Mahon home as the Holiday Hills Women's club held its annual Christmas party. With the majority of the membership present, the evening began with cocktails being served and the gals gathering in groups to sing Christmas carols. Several games were played and a story of the Holiday Hills Women's club Christmas party written and read by Earline Mettelka. The dual gift exchange provided warmth in the spirit of giving and mirth in the spirit of humor. Refreshments were served by President Vi Abbink, Vicepresident, Leone Kathan, Secretary, Phyl Harper, Treasurer, Dee Wegener, and program chairmen, Midge Teuber and Dot Gabriel. It must have Wen a good party because the lights at the Mahon home burned far into the night - evidence that the party goers didn't want to go home. CAROLLERS The Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts will both be out carolling this Friday evening in the subdivision. Be sure to watch and listen for them.
