V . ' ;}r- PC. 2, SEC. 2- PLAIN DEALER - DEC. 20. 1967 CHILDREN "ENJOY MAGIC SHOW AT CHRISTMAS PARTY The children's Christmas party, sponsored by the Sunqjrside Estates Women's club, was held on Sunday, Dec. 10. The wizardry of Peter Heitz' "Wanderful World of Magic" and his balloon animals had the children so enthralled that Santa almost crept in unnoticed. Fat chance the Old Boy had of doing that tho, with all the gifts he had to give out waiting to be opened. Shrieks of jay were heard above Santa's voice, as the children opened their presents. It certainly was a momentous occasion for the little ones. Of course, the big ones, who were responsible for the party, were enjoying the children's glee, after having worked so hard to put on a good show. S.E.H.O.A. BOARD MET On Thursday, Dec. 7 the Sunnyside Estates Homeowner's Association Board met at the Walter Berg home. After nominations were proposed, Walter Berg was elected president, and Jim Williams was chosen vicepresident. They will be sworn into office at the January meeting of the association. The new members to the board of directors of the association will also be sworn in at this time. JUVENILE GIRL FORESTERS MEET The Juvenile Girl Foresters held their annual Christmas party on Dec. 11. They started the evening eating a pot-luck (inner and singing Christmas carols. Santa Claus came to talk to them and give them gifts. They ended the evening with fun and games. Those who attended were Diane and Patty Jo Williams, Kasey and Patty Anderson, Diane Voight, and Kathy Gerstien. SCRIBE: DIANE VOIGHT JUNIOR GIRL SCOUT TROOP 88 The Junior Girl Scout Troop 88 met at the Johns burg school an Wecbesday evening to practice their carols. and make Christmas gifts for-their parents. Their big debut will be next Wednesday, when they go caroling to the hospital. They will meet at the Johns burg school at 6:30 p«m. and go from there to the hospital. They will return to the school at 9 p.m. Please, girls, remember to bring your permission slips. HERE AND THERE Pat and April Faunt attended a rifle club's Christmas dinner dance in Villa Park, recently. Along with them were Tom and Patty Bitterman. Along with the Senior class .of Marian Central high school, Judy Walczynski and Mary Anderson attended Shakespear's "Comedy of Errors" in Chicago last week. Mrs. Kitty Roy, Herb Anderson's mother, is expected to arrive from Florida soon. She is planning to spend a couple of weeks here. We under stand that Bud Doering was slightly injured while being a passenger in his father's car, which was involved in an accident. His father, the driver, was injured more seriously. Bud must have fully recuperated, as he was seen running in a grocery store, packing his cart high, and trying to beat the clock. It seems that his mother asked him to do her running for her as she,won a contest in which she could have all the groceries that she could pick 19 in a certain allotedtime. The Tom Williams family visited with the Jerry Lennon family in Hebron on Saturday. Ruth Smith's family was treated to a delicidys Thanksgiving dinner at a country club by Miss Clara Lawrence, who is a distant relative. Sixteen members of their family enjoyed the feast. Two weeks ago, they had another family reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ryan in Whispering Hills. SICK LIST In an attempt to have a healthy holiday season, these people suffered out their ills early. Cindy and Kenny Bott had the flu-separately, of course. Kenny waited till Cindy's postponed because of illness' birthday party was held. Nice of him to do that! Donna Jensen and Millie Kropf have not been up to par lately. Nora and Shirley Williams had their turn at the doctor's office too. It seems that Nora is just cutting teeth and Shirley is just sympathizing with her. We hope that everyone will be well and happy for the holidays. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS Three year old Matthew Anderson had the usual cake and ice cream with the famil^Xfor his birthday. Mary Davis, vhi?; godmother, and Michael DaviS, were also on hand. Eric Kanter had just the family to help him celebrate, but they might as well have forgotten the cake, because he is thrilled with his new train. What three year old wouldn't be? A delayed party was held an Monday far Cindy Bott when Terry and Mary Kanter, Sharon Maule, Karen Weidner, Kim Olson, arrived to have cake and ice cream and play games. What do you think an eight year old girl's birthday sounds like? Giggle! Giggle! Steve Major, Sr.'s sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Andreasen, of Wooddale and Mary Larkin, Steve, Jr.'s fiance, enjoyed a dinner and cake" on the occasion of Steve, Sr.'s birthday. Ken Segerstrom had the usual festivities at home and went on to the Berg home for a few drinks. Thaf s really celebrating.
