I also want to thank everyone for their cooperation this past year. I know this will be another short column (and there has been quite a few lately), but if your house is as busy as ours I can well understand why the phone calls haven't been coming in--too busy. But let's try toT work together after the first o f the ne w year to make our Johnsburg column bigger and more interesting than any previous year. Once again, happy holidays, to all of you from all of us. HOSPITAL PATIENTS We are sorry to report that Pete 3m Uh of Fairview avenue, has been a patient in the Woodstock hospital recently. We all certainly hope he will be home in time for the holidays. At last report, he was much improved. Young Scott Anderson /was scheduled to enter the Woodstock hospital on Sunday evening and undergo surgery on Monday morning. If all goes as planned, he should be home within a few days. Why not drop a card or two to this young man and help pass away the long hours of taking it easy. To all those who are "under the weather" we wish a speedy recovery. SfcOJE TIED UP When Mrs, Charles Boak presented her husband with a fine healthy son on Dec. 17 she tied the family score at two and two. Chuck and .Natalie, whoreside on Hillcrest Place, welcomed their fourth child, and second son, at the Shierman hospital in Elgin. The little fellow weighed 8 lbs. 5 ozs. and will answers the name of Robert Donnely. Waiting to make his .acquaintance are Charlie, Cathy and Colleen. The baby's paternal grandmother flew in from California to take care of household while Natalie recuperates. Our sincerest congratulations to all. TRAVELING FOLKS Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith will go to Rockford later this week and remain there until sometime next week. They will spend this time visiting with members of their family through the Christmas holiday. Mrs. Dorothy Himpelmann and her family are very happy. Her son, Dick, is home on furlough for the holidays. He recently returned from Korea and will report to Kansas after his home stay is over. Also (Hi the list of happy peo-v pie, are the Joe Hillers. Bob is home after some months serving with the army in Vietnam. Needless to say, he is delighted to be amongf his own people again. . Young Scott and I spent ,a lazy-type week in Pompano Beach, Fla., visiting at the honp of Jack and Ollie Keenan. We had a marvelous jet trip down and home again. The first time for both and it was absolutely wonderful. I have a little trouble explaining to my fourteen month old soa why he can't go outside with hardly any clothes on. All the time we were in Florida, there wasn't a day he couldn't go out of doors with just shorts on. The week away was great, but there is still no place in the world like home. I would like to tell all the friends of the Keenans that they are just fine. Jack has bounced back tremendously from his two operations within the past two years. They hope to see all their old acquaintances this summer. And so it is goodbye for another week. Don't forget the early holiday deadlines for the next two weeks. Have fun and enjoy yourselves. The hood should be deep enough to cover most of the cooking surface. Usually a space 26 to 30 inches above the cooking surface is suggested for the most effective removal of odors.
