Committee for this meeting will be notified. c SUDDEN DEAXH SHOCKS ALL All of us were shocked beyond words last Thursday, Dec. 21, to hear of the sudden passing of Frank M.*y. He went off to i work apparently in good health that morning, and was stricken within a matter of tours and passed away. His wife, Connie, was summoned to the McHenry hospital right After he was admitted. No words can console the May family at a time like this. Besides his wife, Frank is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Beverly Llndmark, Mrs. Arlette Cable, Mrs. Ardis M:ller and Francine at home. Also six grandchildren, a brother and a sister. He was 58 at the time of death. Funeral services were conducted from St. John's church, with burial in the church cemetery on Saturday. Our sincere sympathies are extended to Connie and her family. SUNSHINE SEEKERS Frank and Loretta King will be returning to their home in Dutch Creek Woodlands shortly after spending several weeks enjoying Florida's beautiful warm weather. Flying to the "Land of Sunshine" last Saturday were Ed, Dorothy and Eddie Hettermann. They will spend a week or so with Jack and Ollie Keenan in Pompano Beach. Needless to say young Eddie is thrilled beyond words as it will be his first experience in flying. The Hettermanns will enjoy the warm weather for Christmas, BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS The two Oeffling cousins, Dwayne and Allen, will be joining forces in celebration of their sixth birthdays. The party took place at the A1 Oeffling home on Dec. 23. Dwayne's natal ctaj was on the twenty-second. While Allen's is coming upon Jan. 3. Present for the party fun were the grandparents, the Senior George Oefflings, the Tom Fowler family and of the course the families of George and Al. Happy birthday to both these young men. BIRTHDAY WISHES Many happy wishes to Pat Tomasello who will be doing her birthday celebrating on New e Year's Eve. MCCULLOM LAKE *NEWS THERE USINESS AMBULANcfe SERVICE In recent weeks, a number of county ambulance services have relinquished their businesses to a new McHenry business known as Northwest Ambulance Service, located at 3316 W. Pearl street. The new service is radio dispatched, offering oxygen inhalator and resuscitator equipment. It specializes in twenty-fourhour service, giving long distance service. ACQUIRES FRANCHISE MacDonald Ford, Inc., of Fox Lake recently acquired the franchise from Ford Motor Co. for the Mercury automobile agency in the McHenry area. MacDonald Ford is also anticipating the Lincoln franchise in the near future. EVE LE(VESQUE SANDY JOSSERAND LOVELY BRIDE OF MR? ARTHUR GUMM Lovely Sandra Sue Josserand, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Josserand, 4612 Lake Shore drive, will jqin hands in Holy matrimony wimMr. Arthur Gumm of Tallulah, 111., 7;30 p.m. tonight at the Community Methodist church. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs* Harold Gumm also Tallulah. The two young people met at Springfield Memorial hospital where Sandy is a nurse. The bridal party includes the groom's sister, Mrs. Kay Nelson of Canton, the bride's roommate, Miss Carol Funderburk, Springfield; Mr. Robert Nelson, the groom's brother-inlaw as best man; and a chum of the groom's - Mr. Gerald Miller Of Tallu?ah. A reception for 10 D guests will be held in the church parlors, following the ceremony. Randy Josserand, escorting his daughter down the aisle, will be Wearing a black tie with a yellow stripe, a gift sent from New Jersey. The newly wodde i couple plan to honeymoon in New Orleans and Florida and are making their home near Petersburg. SENIOR CITIZENS IN CHICAGO 385-4144 Mrs. Anna ifuschfeld, who was seriously ill, recovered against tremendous odds, and is now living with her daughter in Chicago. Her next door neighbor on ParkView, Mrs. Betty Reiter, is spendi Ajthe holidays with relatives in the city. & SCOUTS HONOR VIET VETERAN A combination Christmas and welcome home party starred Bill Hoak as honored guest when members of Boy Scout Trpop 131 greeted him upon his return from a tour of duty in Viet Nam. The young man, son of the Scoutmaster, J.C. Hoak, was feted, Monday, Dec. 18, in the Community Methodist church. It was quite a thrill because the returning hero has a little brother in the troop, also. Members of the troop who attended from the village were Bill Schmidt and his son, Billy, Jr,; Bud Brendle and son Terry; and Clayton Patzke. It was a most memorable evening for both generations. SCENE STEALER IN HOT PINK Michelle Powers, who turned 4^ Oct. 30 of this year, was a living doll as she played the role of flower girl for a recent wedding. The wee one was adorable in a' floor length gown of hot pink velvet and wore a hot pijjk velvet head band, from which, a shoulder length veil was suspended in back. She is the daughter of Irene and Don Power's and is a very sharp young lady. HOLD AUDITIONS Auditions for contraltos and tenors for the Fine Arts Chorale, Woodstock, will be held at 7:30 . p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at the Congregational - Universalist church in Woodstock. Appearing in Branch III court last week, four young people were fined $10 and $5 costs each for unlawful possession of alcoholic beverage by person under the age of 21. Fined were Charles P. Schlottman, Marcia R. Gamm, Robert G. Hog an and Gregory A. Peeler. James J. Coskey paid a $10 fine and $5 costs for speeding. Happiness •is Helping!
