Later in the afternoon, Ernie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Von Oepen, Sr., and daughter, Marie, stopped in. Ernie and Gloria and the boy? spent Christmas day in Joliet with his sister and her family Mr. and Mrs. Rutan. Also there were Ernie's other sister Sue, and Jim Kane and daughter, Kelly. JOhn and Eleanor Fiedler attended a family reunion in Chicago at the home of her mother, Mrs. Marie Carins. Patty Voight is home for the holidays. She has been very busy visiting her friends and relatives. On Wednesday, she and her brother, Don, visited their grandmother in Chicago. Patty will return to Washington to resume her duties at Walter Reed hospital on Sunday. Bud and Lucy Lytle spent an enjoyable holiday weekend in Peru, Ind., with Bud's family. . Visitng six sisters and a brother made a busy weekend. Helge and Ruth Dettlow spent the weekend in Chicago with Ruth's brother. They had dinner there on Christmas day. Unfortunately, however, her sisterin- law's brother was taken to the hospital with a heart attack, lowering everyone5 s spirits. Donnie spent the weekend with his father in Diamond Lake. He enjoyed skating oh the lake and playing with his step-brothers and sisters. Bob and Denise Higgins attended a company dinner party at the Legion hall in Algonquin. They enjoyed the dinner and dancing that followed. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS Norma Gunn spent the Christmas holidays in Chester with her mother. Her sister and brother- in-law joined her there.. During her stay she went out to dinner at a night spot to celebrate her birthday. On Thursday, June Voight, Pat Bott, and Florence kanter convened at Gloria VonQapsifs house to help her celebrate her birthday. . j On Saturday evening, Bob Kernosky of ^lcHenry, and Mr. and Mrs. Scott of Burlington, Wis., arrived at the Mc Manaway home to help celebrate Sharon's birthday and tyeirj anniversary. j HAPPY BIRTHDAY Happy birthday to Yvonne Kuechel, Bob Kelso and Jackie Morris on the fifth, Lorraine Major, on the sixth, Sheri Lytle, six, and Billy Lewis, four, on the eighth, Gerald Dowe,and on the ninth, Andrew Eichhorn, Jr., seven.
