HARVARD HOSPITAL Mrs. Earl Kawell and Joseph Janiszewski of McHenry were patients in Harvard hospital during the past week. MEMORIAi HOSPITAL WOODSTOCK Among the patients admitted to Memorial hospital, Woodstock, were Gordon Schmltt, Julian Matuszewski, George Barbian, Celia Wirtz, McHenry; Patricia Hendricks, Philip Buchanan, Arthur Dangler:, Adam Becker and George Stefenhugon, Wonder Lake. Mrs. Elmer Riggs of Salem, Wis., is spending some time with her sister, Mrs. Fred Bienapfl. George York of Salem, Wis., and Miss Kathy Hardt of Twin Lakes were Sunday visitors in the Leslie Olsen home. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Antonson, Lori and Tommy of Evanston spent a few days with relatives here before leaving for their new home in Glass Borro, N.J. IVIr. and Mrs. Paul Patzke were Sunday visitors -in the Richard Patzke home in Grayslake where they helped their grandson, Bryan Patzke, celebrate his second birthday. Mrs. Leslie Olsen was in Richmond recently to visit her sister, Miss Edna Speaker, who has returned from a 2 weeks stay in Sherman hospital, Elgin, and is recovering nicely. Mrs. Carl Ford and Mr ^Hilda Potter of Old Greenwich, Conn., spent ten days visiting in the home of thei,r daughter and granddaughter, Mrs. Charles Fuller, and her husband in their home on McCullom Lake road. Mrs. Bernard A. Freund spent the past weekend at Ada, Ohio, visiting Mr. and Mrs. Neil Freund. Mr. and Mrs. John Thennes have returned from a trip to Manitowoc, Wis., where they spent a week in the home of his neice, Mrs. Tom Kuehn, and husband. Sister Andreella, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Freund and Mrs. A. P. Freund visited the latter's sisters at Campbell sport, Wis. recently. Sister Ildefons observed her ninetieth birthday on Feb. 12. Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Schaefer, Mrs. Louis Stoffel, Mrs. Henry Nell and Mrs. Tom Harrison were in Lake Geneva last Wednesday to attend a gathering at the home of Mrs. Russ Lloyd (Geraldine Kennebeck) honoring her daughter and two children who are here from Virginia. Mrs. Edla Antonson returned recently from a two weeks visit in the home of her niece, Mrs. Riddl, in Northbrook. Houghton, Openings In Nurse Course There are still openings available in the nurses' refresher course being offered in the Adult Night school program in the- McHenry public schools. This course is designed for nurses who have been away from the profession, offering them a refresher in techniques and instruments used in modern nursing. The only refresher course in the state being offered through the Community School Education program, the McHenry course is unique. Course work will involve about ten hours a week for ten weeks.
