Each of the town's chairmen stated her plans. Mrs. Lund heads the McHenry groups which will present events during the iponth of April. Mrs. David Ladd is in charge in Crystal Lake. There will be both luncheon and Evening card parties. Wonder Lake, headed by Mrs. Mildred Kersten, and also Marengo and Woodstock, will all hold their benefit days on April 24. Rummage Sale Among Hospital Auxiliary Events The Woman's auxiliary of Memorial hospital for McHenry County held its monthly board meeting on Monday, March 18 at the home of Mrs. Irwin P. Tucker, Kimball avenue, Woodstock. The main Items on the agenda were the future events planned by the auxiliary. On Wednesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 25 the auxiliary will hold its annual rummage sale. Although this service organization maintains a yearround, nearly-new department in the Gift and Thrift shop, once a year the volunteers hold a large rummage sale in'the basement of the Congregational- Universalist church. Members. are reminded to bring in their nearly new clothing for resale any time during the coming month. Volunteers are also needed to help the committee on the Tuesday prior to the sales as well as on the sales days. Mrs. Leslie Neff or Mrs. Ralph McConnell may be contacted. Altar And Rosary To Meet Monday The Altar and Rosary sodality of St. Patrick's Catholic church will meet Monday evening, April 1 following the 8 o'clock Mass. John street, McHenry, died Saturday evening, March 23, in Memorial hospital, Woodstock, where he had been a patient one day. Death was due to a heart ailment. Mr. Patrick, 78 years of age, was born May 2, 1889, in Chicago and had resided in this community about twenty-five years. He was a retired latherer. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, nee Von Parpart, whom he married in 1911; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Fairchild, of McHenry; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Edward (Jen) Johnson of Jamestown, NY. A son, Ernest, preceded him in death. Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Peter M. Justen & Son chapel, with Rev. Raymond L. White officiating. Entombment will be in Woodland Mausoleum. He was a member of McHenry Lodge, No. 158, AF & AM,members of which were scheduled to conduct Masonic services Tuesday evening at 8 D.m. FRED A. ZANDIER A funeral Mass was sung Saturday in Prince of Peace Catholic church, Linder.hurst, for Fred A. Zandier, 75, of ,Lindenhurst, who died in St. Therese hospital, Waukegan, on March 19. Burial was in Ascension cemetery. Mr. Zandier was co-publisher of the Wonder Lake Party Line for ten years and was well known in this community. He is survived by his widow, Anna G.; a son, Fred F., of Barrington; two daughters, Anna G. Pfannkuche, Palatine and Patricia Rickey, Lindenhurst; also seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. EMMA TESSENDOitF Mrs. Em-na Tessendorf, 72, of Main street, Crystal Lake, died Thursday, March 21, in Sherman hospital, Elgin. The deceased, a native of Crystal Lake, was a lifetime resident of Crystal Lake, and a member of Immanuel Lutheran church. Her husband, Edward C. whom she married in 1914, preceded her in death in 1963. She leaves two daughters, Florence Tessendorf of Crystal Lake and Mrs. Betty Jane Turner of Chicago; a son, Earl of McHenry; one granddaughter, a sister and a brother. Services were conducted Saturday from Immanuel Lutheran church. St. Clara's Court Holds Election St. Clara's court No. 659, National Catholic Society of Foresters will hold election of officers on March 28 in St. Mary's meeting hall at 8 p.m. On March 31 the court will observe annual Communion Mass at 8 a.m. This Mass is for the adult and junior members. There will be a free breakfast following at the Legion home. in the Metz chapel in Chicago last Thursday for Edmund Weber, 78, of Pistakee Hills, who died March 18 in St. Therese hospital, Waukegan. Interment was in Graceland cemetery Friday. Mr. Weber had resided in this community for the past eight years. DR. Sunnyside Beach McHenry, who was pronounced dead on arrival ai McHenry hospital Sunday, March 24. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Dr. Gerlach had resided in this area for many years and had been a practicing dentist in the Chicago area. He was born Feb. 6, 1895, in Chicago. His affiliations included membership in the McHenry Legion Post, No. 491, and Catholic Order of Foresters, St. John's Court, Johnsburg. Survivors include his wife, Helen, to whom he had been married forty-seven years; also two sons, Leo, Jr., of North Carolina and William Jr., of Chicago; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Clara) Kaleth of California and Mrs. Bernard (Louise) Janco of Chicago; and a brother, Albert of Chicago.
