Ever' tfme I run across a young person thet tries t' live within the fatftily pocket-book, I sure give 'eih credit. Seems like our government don't set a very good example fer the young |folks f toiler, any more. With enormous amounts o* spenfdin' goin* on, when the treastfury is in the RED, it seems fredicolous to me, and a lot for folks. | This is our country. Somethin' better be done about it real quick, seems ter me, afore it's too late ter do anythin'. I wuz a comparin' things to a family, where the younguns want ever'thin; and the family purse cain't take care o* the luxuries. The father works his head off ter pervide the extras, n' first •thing ye know, he is hurtin', in health and also his pants pocket. Well, I think the folks in this country better git used ter goin* wi'out so many extras, and git down t' brass tacks. It ain't really necessary to a family's happiness t' hev so many trinkets, 'nd such. It all jest keeps "Pop," a tryin' ter , meet up wi' the expenses. So it .is wi' the government, and "Pop," pervides the wherewi'- all it uses.
