The activities started with the parade through downtown McHenry on Friday afternoon. Weeks of preparation went into the floats and participation was high this year. The football game Friday night saw McHenry pitted against North Chicago. Although McHenry dominated the first half of play (half time score McHenry 12-0) the Hawks of North Chicago came back in the second half to beat the Warriors. A huge crowd was on hand to cheer the Warriors to victory, but the dream of a homecoming victory did not come true. Saturday night the Homecoming dance was held at the East Campus High School. The highlight of the homecoming activities was the crowning of the queen. This year's queen was JoAnn Freund of McHenry. Plaindealer Photos
