It has been accepted as an official , source of historical information. It features illustrations of places and events, and such famous Qlinoisans as Abraham Lincoln, Jane Addams, Stephen Douglas, George Rogers Clark, Ulysses S. Grant, and Adlai Stevenson. Frederic Amour of Island Lake, sales manager for Creative Merchandisers, Inc., of Chicago, whose subsidiary company, History House, Inc., published the map, appears above on right viewing the map with George L. Clements, chairman of the board of Jewel Companies, Inc., on left, which issued the map, along with Robert Boehland and Charles Barosay of Creative Merchandisers, Inc. Mr. Amour was part of the group which worked with Ralph Newman, noted historian and chairman of the Illinois Sesquicentennial commission, and Paul Angle, historian and former director of the Chicago Historical society, who did the research on the historical facts for the document. Copies of the map will be distributed to schools, libraries, and offices of municipalities throughout the state. ! Orchard, McHenry , parked about 1^0 feet behind him. The cars collided. James Engandela of Algonquin was parked in the high school lot when Kevin E. Stone, chairman, Mathematics department, Warren Township high school, Gurnee. The workshop will be in session the following dates; Feb. 14 and 21, March 6, 13, 20 and 27. This workshop is a part of the Illinois Plan for the Improvement of Instruction in Mathematics and is sponsored under Title HI of the National Defense Education Act, utilizing federal funds. The workshop will meet for a two-hour session each week for six weeks. No college credit will be given to participants, although boards of education are encouraged to allow professional growth credit.
