•Vv't • LAKEMOOR - LILYMOOR Pat Morrison 385-6396 LADIES LEAGUE PURCHASES CLOCK FOR VILLAGE HALL The village of Lakemoor held its meeting Thursday, Nov. 14. The Ladies League presented the village with a clock for the village hall. The board accepted the clock with great pleasure. Hie small beach is being cleared of all trees and shrubs by the residents who are donating their time to beautify the beach. The board is very grateful, to the residents who are doing this. Street posts in the village are being repainted. New ones Mil be installed where they are needed. The board has approved for the Cub Scouts and Brownie troops to meet in the community house. The troops will soon be meeting there. Village meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. The next meeting will be held Thursday, Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. It was real nice to see so many residents attending the Nov. meeting. Please try to attend all your village meetings to see what is going on in your village. 1969 VEHICLE STICKERS AND DOG LICENSES For the village of Lakemoor are now on sale. Those who wish to purchase a special number on their vehicle sticker please call the village clerk Pat Morrison at 385-6396. Pat will hold that number for you. When purchasing your dogs 1969 license you must show your dog's current rabies certificate. Sorry you cannot purchase the dog's license without this. . You can purchase your vehicle sticker or dog license from Pat Morrison any day except Sundays and holidays. Please no Sundays or holidays. These days Pat spends with her family. FUN CLUB Was held at the home of Pat Morrison Wednesday, Nov. 13. The ladies had a very nice social evening. Prizes were awarded four of the ladies. First prize was won by Lu Bitter man, second by Alice keeker, third by-Par Morrison, Bo6by wertt to Ernma Kunz this time. Hostess for the evening was Doris Kibbe. BIRTHDAY Greetings go to Norman Morrison and Diane Fuhler. Norman will celebrate his big day on Friday, Nov. 22, Diane will celebrate on Sunday, Nov. 24. Many happy returns, Norman and Diane. VISITS SON AT COLLEGE Norman and Pat Morrison had a full and wonderful time visiting their son, Terry at Western university, Saturday, Nov. 9. Terry was very proud to show his parents around the campus on Parents' day. The parents were welcomed by a president of the university. After the welcome speech Norman and Pat were shown the campus. Pat was saying if s a city within a city on the campus. They have everything there bowling alley, show, you name it and they have it. They attended the football game in the afternoon and after wards watched the water polo. The three enjoyed dinner at the dormitory cafeteria. After dinner they enjoyed seeing a play. Norman and Pat had such a good time they are planning to attend Parents' day next year. wife, Sandy in Crystal Lake, on Monday night. The following evening sdit,' Skip and wife, Sue, surprisedus with a call from Beaufort, S.C. We hit the jackpot. Maurice M* Casey Country Club drive enjoyed a weeks rest in Sidney, Australia after ten months active duty in Vietnam. Lt. Casey is a former Edgebrook Schoolteacher. He enlisted in the Marines in 1966. He has recently been recommended for the Presidential Unit Citation for his participating in the holding of Khe-Sanh, Vie-, tnam for 92 consecutive days. His Marine unit has been recommended for the Navy Unit Citation of U.U.C. arid the Meritorious Unit Citation MUG. Lt. Casey expects to complete his Vietnam duty in early 1969. MCHENRY LIGHT-WEIGHTS GO DOWN FIGHTING IN PLAYOFF The Mc Henry light - weight football team was overcome 27- 0 by St. Bede's in the "Turkey - Bowl" game. Joe Walker played outstanding defense in the play-off game but the team fail ed to score. Coach Tom Warren promises a tougher team next year. Country club residents PLAN BUSY HOLIDAY Mr. and Mrs. Joza will be host and hostess to Mrs. Jo- - za's family, Mi*, and Mrs. Harold Lundberg Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lundberg Jr. of Wilmette and Mr. andMrs.Erv. Elrich of Oak Park over the Thanksgiving week-end. We extend best Thanksgiving wishes to all for a delightful family holiday. FREUND - MILLER NUPTIALS Best wishes to Jacqueline and Gerald Miller Jr., on their recent marriage at St. Mary's church in McHenry. Mrs. Miller is the former Jacqueline Ann Freund. Mrs. Tom Wiles of Crescent Avenue is Gerald's aunt. The newlyweds will reside in Grayslake following their honeymoon. . NEED EQUIPMENT The newly formed nursery service at St. Patrick's church to be offered during the 11:00 and 12:15 Masses every Sunday is in need of play pens, toys and possibly a high-chair. Their granddaughter, Mrs. Dolores Berenyi presented her husband, Joseph with a beautiful boy Tuesday, Nov. 12. Wee-one Joseph weighed in at 8 lbs. 3 oz. This was a double celebration for Dolores who also celebrated her birthday, Tuesday. The proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hyatt, Jr and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Berenyi . Congratulations and best wishes on your blessed event. VISITS FAMILY AND FRIENDS Gene and Micki Bolda were down from Springfield visiting their family and friends for four days. They visited with their parents, Ed and Ann Bolda and Norman and Pat Morrison. On returning to Springfield Gene entered the State police academy Sunday, Nov. 17 for four months training. While Gene is in training Micki will be working at St. John's hospital in Springfield. HOME FROM HOSPITAL I am happy to report that Val Fradinardo is now home from the hospital.
