Since we are consolidated with Johnsburg now, things are a bit different for this year Phyllis Ackerman and Helen Barker have the help of Roger Barker, as musical director with Michele Rassmussen as accompanist, in preparing the local youngsters andyoung people for a Christmas program. They met on Saturday andMonday with local talent to practice, and from the sounds of things, doing a wonderful job with good co -operation from the kids. The program will be held followed by the arrival of Jolly Old Santa himself with goodies for the little ones (and big ones). Refreshments will be served to all following the program. This is an invitation to all in the community to attend and see our talented people and youngs- ; ters. Do plan on attending, and ; bring the entire family. 4-H NOTES | The Ringwood Sunshine 4-H ! club meeting was called to order | at 7:03. The pledges were lead j by Pat Christopher. I Minutes were approved as * read. I Lynn Tomlinson made a mo- ? tion that we have a Christmas I party and grab bag. Motion was seconded by Debbie Freund. Pam Low suggested that we have the grab bag set atone dollar. Ruth Tonyan, Michele Rassmussen, Pam Low, Resae Ackerman will have refreshments for the next meeting, to be held on Dec. 18. On the program for the Share the Fun are: Pam Low, Karen Smith, Pat Christopher, Delores Betts, Cindy Bruce and Michele Rassmussen. Ruth Tonyan gave a talk on safety with firearms and burns. Karen Smith gave a talk on the prevention of accidents with little children. Lynn Tomlinson gave a demonstration on how to freeze butternut squash. Debbie Freund have a demonstration on how to sew on a button. Mr. Brunswick will be remembered by many, as he spent his boyhood days in Ringwood. Mrs. L.E. Hawley spent last Monday and Tuesday in Chicago where she attended the funeral of her girl friend's brother. CARD CLUB TO TWIN LAKES FOR LUNCH Members of the Card Club motored to Twin Lakes for their Christmas luncheon on Wednesday of last week. Miss Mae Wiedrich, Mrs. Flora Carr, Mrs. L.E. Hawley, Mrs. Ruby Shepard and Mrs* Wolf Shadle from here, Mrs. Vivian Jackson and Mrs. Bertha Peet from Richmond attended. Mrs. Louis Winn from Richmond was unable to attend, being in the hospital for tests at the time. She is now home on the road to recovery. AROUND TOWN Callers in the home of Mrs. Fred Wiedrich, Sr., during the past week included Mrs. James Wegener and son, Charles of McHenry. Lee Merchant of Woodstock and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wiedrich of Burlington spent Saturday and Sunday. Miss Mae Wiedrich, Mrs. Flora Carr attended a golden wedding on Sunday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Goddard. PRESENT CHRISTMAS STORY No moments in the Christmas season are as meaningful as those monients spent participating in the story of Christ's birth. On Sunday morning Dec. 15, Mrs. Kenneth Fiske and Thomas Byrnes will present their version of the Christmas story at the 11 a.m. worship service in Woodstock's Congregational - Universalist church.
