A voluntaiy orientation for part-time students will be held at 7.30 P.M. oh February 4th. This orientation is designed to acquaint students with the different college programs. Students will proceed with registration after orientation. Vyednesday February 5th 1:00PM - 5:00 PM and 6:00PM - 9:00 PM REGISTRATION PROCEDURE, PART-TIME STUDENTS. ' - Par t-time students may register for classes by .coming to the Interim Offices of the College at one of the dates or times listed above. Part-time students who desire an opportunity to discuss their educational goals .with a counselor may do so at the hours listed above. FULL-TIME STUDENTS Prospective full-time students should contact the Office of Student Services at 459-6800 for detailed information' regarding admission procedures and forms. " , GENERAL INFORMATION Who May Enroll? All high school graduates, as well as non-high school graduates, over age 17, who can profit from the educational programs offered,, may enroll in McHenry County College as either part-time or full-time students. WHERE WILL CLASSES BE HELD? Classes will be conducted at the I.I.T. Building (Pure Oil Building), 6200 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake, Illinois, during the 1968-69 academic year. In addition, extension classes will be "conducted in many of the high schools in the county. WHEN DO CLASSES BEGIN? Classes start February 6th at 8:00 A.M. WHAT DEGREES ARE AWARDED? The Associate Degree will be awarded to all students satisfactorily completing a 2-year program of study. Certificates will be awarded those satisfactorily completing a program of less than 2 years duration. A "certification of course completion" will be available to those completing certain vocational courses. ARE CREDITS EARNED AT McHENRY COUNTY COLLEGE TRANSFERABLE? Credits earned at McHenry County College may be transferred to other institutions of higher education. Students should understand, however, that courses taken at McHenry County College must fit the program they plan to follow at the 4-year institution. Students should decide to which 4-year college they will transfer early in their freshman year at McHenry County College in order to select those courses that will satisfy the requirements of that college. These courses should be selected with the aid of one of the "members of the McHenry County College counseling staff. , McHenry County College is approved as a Class 1 College by the Illinois Junior College Board. Vocational-Technical classes and their instructors are approved by State Board of Vocational. & Technical Education in Springfield, Illinois. OCCUPATIONAL PROGRAMS. The following programs leading to employment will be offered during the College's first year of operation: Agricultural chemicals technology, accounting, business management., secretarial science, industrial supervision, electronic data-processing, electronics technology, and mechanical technology: design and production options. UNIVERSITY PARALLEL PROGRAMS. Programs leading ^ to additional college work and the Bachelor's degree will be offered during the first year of operation. There will be courses for students interested in pursuing work in engineering, education, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, veterinary medicine, art, biology, pre-law, physical science, speech and drama. ADULT EDUCATION. Adults will find many of the courses listed under the headings of College Credit offerings of interest to them. In addition, there are a wide variety of non-credit courses available. These courses are listed below. PAYMENT OF FEES. Fees must be paid in full at thfe time of registration, and may be paid by students or their employers. Books and supplies are separate charges. Charges shown in this announcement are applicable to College District residents. Non-residents will be required to pay Out-of District tuition charges. REFUNDING FEES.
