America's present chaotic conditions are partly due to the bad influence of braintruster college professors. For they are biting the "free enterprise" hands that have fed them! It is thus time Liberal Arts schools imi- MR. AND MRS. GERALD FORTIER WED RECENTLY - Miss Carla Dietz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dietz of 1910 N. By - George W. Crane, Ph. D., M. D. CASE J-507: Paul Z., aged 28. is a college professor. While driving along a country highway, he felt a "thud" and saw that his right rear wheel had dropped off. When he investigated, he found the lug screws were gone, for a gas station attendant must have been careless when Paul had his tires rotated. Paul used his auto jack and put the wheel back in place but had no lug screws to fasten it. As he was scratching his head in perplexity, he heard a voice behind him. • Looking around, he saw that he was stalled in front of the state mental institution and one of the patients was watching him through the iron fence. "What's wrong?" asked this patient. Paul told him he lacked screws to hold his rear wheel in place till he could reach the next village a couple of miles ahead. "Why don't you just take a lug screw out of each one of the other three wheels?" asked the patient. "They'll hold that fourth wheel till you get to the. next gas station." Paul expressed delight at this practical idea but showed his surprise that an inmate of a mental institution could be so ingenious. To which the inmate shrugged and replied: "Mister, I may be crazy but Pm not STUPID!" Paul had a Ph.D. degree and was a successful college pro- I fessor, yet he simply lacked practical experience with this type of problem. For a man may be a genius in his I.Q. but still rate the "brain-truster" label. Wisdom and education are not synonymous! Education is what you get in school, but it is often so far WPD. GREEN STREET MALL TTT removed from the problems of real life, ( that a smart Ph.D. like Paul may thus be "shown iq>" by the* inmate of a menial institution! You probably remember the old adage that stated: "You must cut the cloth to fit the figure; not the pattern!" Our young people in college are thus being brainwashed against our great "free enterprise" system till they espouse Socialism and even many Communistic doctrines. Yet the very colleges where they are located are a direct result of our superior American system. Our "free enterprise" economy offers the best climate for altruism, education, charity and even religion that this planet has ever seen! We thus finance the rest of the world as its international Santa Claus. We have more hospitals and more college students, with merely 200 million people, than all the rest of the world with its 3 BILLIONS! Why? Because "free enterprise" stimulates advertsing and selling, which are the twin sparkplugs of creation, instead of stagnation. America is the Go-Getter Land. Socialistic England and Communi stic Russia depend on handouts or thefts of merchandise and natural resources from other countries! So send for my booklet " The. New Psychology of Advertising and Selling," enclosing a long stamped, return envelope, plus 20 cents. And teach your children the difference between "net" income vs. "gross." Business colleges do that very well, but Liberal Arts graduates are still juvenile regarding the axioms of our "free enterprise" system. (Always write to Dr. Crane in care of this newspaper, enclosing a long stamped, addressed envelope and 20 cents to cover typing and printing costs when you send for one of his booklets.)
