Blue and Gold Dinner That time of year is coming again -- the Blue and Gold" dinner -- and the boys ^ are working hard making all the final preparations. Name tags, centerpieces, decorations and preparing skits are just a few of the things they've been doing at their weekly den meetings. The big day will be Sunday,' March 2, at 4:30 p.m. and it is to be held at the V.F.W. Hall in McHenry. The dinner served will be 'pot-luck' and each family is asked to bring a meat dish large enough to feed their own family and a dish to pass. It is also requested that everyone supply his own .silverware. Dessert and refreshments will be by the pack. Special guests, Scout Executives and representatives of the Ladies Auxiliary, Post 4600, who sponsor the Pack have been invited and it is the hop6 of everyone that this will be the best dinner this far. Boy Scouts The following is an account of some of the recent activities of the boys of Scout Troop 132. On Saturday, Jan. 25, the boys went to Cantigny War Museum. This is a memorial to the 1st Division on Col. Robert Mccormick's farm in Wheaton. The troop was accompanied by Bill Boettcher and C. Kasprzyk. Wednesday, Jan. 29, the troop toured Gault airport. The tour was conducted by the airport manager. The boys were the guests of the local civil air patrol unit which meets at the Gault airport. They saw four aircraft torn down and also found out how airplanes are flown. After the tour, Major Bill Andrews of the civil air patrol explained all abdut the C.A P. This trip was WED.VFEB. 19, 1969 - PL4INDEALER - PG. 15 arranged by Frank Estes who is the unit commander at Gault. Everyone agreed that this was a very interesting evening. Scouts who attended were A1 Extes, Gary and John Connell, Ken Boettcher, Joe Foreman, Bill Wise and Jim and Joe Szamblewski and Scout Master Joe Catanzaro. Monday, Feb. 10, Troop 132 had its annual parents night. The troop received its charter for 1969. Four new boys became Tenderfoot Scouts, John Muncy, Jim and Joe Szamblewski and Bill Wise. Two boys advanced to second class. They are Gary Connell and Jeff Kasprzyk. Joe and Connie Catanzaro were pleasantly surprised when Bill Boettcher presented them with appreciation certificates. The evening ended with movies of troop activities. Mrs. Frank Estis, president of the St. Patrick's H. and S.A made arrangements for the troop to use St. Patrick's church basement. The troop is very grateful to Mrs. Estes and Father Guzzardo for his kind permission for the use of the basement. Refreshments were supplied by Mrs. C. Kasprzyk, Mrs. J. Quiiico and Mrs. J. Connell. MEAT VIOLATION One violation of the state Meat and Poultry Inspection Act was reported during January, according to Director John W. Lewis of the Illinois Department. of Agriculture.
