RINGWOOD NEWS DOLORES BRENNAN 653-9045 COUSINS MEET IN GERMANY FOR HAPPY REUNION Talk of meeting people away from home, how's this? I have two cousins serving in the armedforces ir|jGermany, AIC LSrry Schaefer in Bitburg, Germany, with the United States Air Force, and PFC Dale Schmitt also in Germany with the Army. Seems as tho Larry in his little Volkswagen travelled the area and looked up Cousin Dale to share car and holidays together. Needless to say, they sure enjoyed being together, especially so far from home. Out of over 200 in our wee family, the two of them got stationed in Germany, and close enough to be able to whoop it up a bit. They also get together on weekends when passes permit. Small world it truly is, right? Say, come to think of it, we Theres Something New / - in Used Cars -- Schmitts didn't have a family reunion this year either -- do you suppose the two of them planned one alone to show us 15)? Hmmmmmm. CARD CLUB The Card Club met on Wednesday with Mrs. Flora Carr as hostess. High score for the afternoon was Anna Shadle with Mabel Hawley taking low. " ATTEND SHOWER FOR COUSIN-TO-BE Georgia Bauer and Lor Brennan attended a bridal shower for Bobby Ann Lindholm on Sunday at the home of Mrs. Tony Schaefer in McHenry, with Mrs. Ted Schaefer and Mrs. Gene Hughes along with Mrs. Tony Schaefer as co-hostesses. Bobby Ann thought she was going to a birthday party until she was loudly greeted after entering a house full of ladies. All cousins and aunts, amounting to approximately fifty-five, give or take a few. Bobby Ann received many lovely gifts from those pre sent, one of which isn't necessarily useful, right, Bobby Ann? Salads', cake, punch and coffee were served to all. Bobby Ann will become the bride of cousin Kenny Schaefer in April. VISIT PAGNIS Mr. and Mrs. Loren Harrison and Mrs. Ruby Shepard called on Marie and Bill Pagni in Northbrook on Friday afternoon. The Pagnis formerly resided in Ringwood. And all were most happy to talk over old times together. OOOOP! SORRY COUNTRY COUSIN! I must retract my statement from last week to "Country Cousin" Georgia Bauer. I mistakenly typed her birthday as No. 39 plus. What I meant to say was Georgia celebrated her 29 plus birthday. Even with this year's birthday, Geo still hasn't hit the 39 mark. And Pm not going to say if it will be one more year before No. 39 come, or maybe more. Anyhow, 29 plus is safe to say. BIRTHDAYS ETC. March 2 will be the twelfth wedding anniversary for cou- FRI.
