WHISPERING OAKS Gertrude Disney 385-7515 NONAGENARIAN MOTHER VISITED BY DAUGHTERS Not so much news for this time, for I spent several days at my mother's in Wausau, Wise. My sister and I helped her get her house cleaned and put up new drapes and curtains, had her tall blue spruce and others trimmed. She lives at the foot of Rib Mountain, so the scenery there is beautiful, lakes in the view from her picture window, so we enjoyed it. We also took her to our birthplace, Merrill, where we looked over old land marks of sentiment and reminiscent of our younger years, there. The only bad thing about going up there is the awful feeling we get when we leave and see her weeping. She is 90 but is still planning on a garden and flowers. She gave me a homemade coffee cake and doughnuts to take home. They are good, come on over and I'll treat you.
