Checking The Bridegroom's Obligations. Q v eautiful The bridegroom-to-be may think that all he has to do is "be at the church on time," but such is not the case. He has, by now, found out that he must 1) select his attendants, 2) order clothes for the wedding and see that his attendants do the same (jthey should also have them fitted after they arrive), 3) compile his and his family's list of guests, 4) buy the bride's rings, 5) order-- or at least, pay for -- the bouquets, etc., and see that they arc delivered, and 6) get the marriage license. But there are a few more items. He should purchase gifts for his attendants. These may be in the line of billfolds, cuff links, jewelry cases, etc. And he must make sure that his attendants have transportation, and that they will be at the church one hour before the ceremony. And, he must remember to give the bride's wedding ring to the best man, who will carry'it to the altar. He should also put the clergyman's fee in an envelope and give it to the best man, who will give it to the minister after the ceremony. Finally, he should purchase a gift for the bride, preferably something personal of a lasting nature -- perhaps the strand of pearls which she could wear with her wedding gown. ! * r*rfrr^tfTrrffrfffffffrffrrrffrffjfffi'j'jfj*jJJJ From This Day Forward....
