DeKalb, has sponsored a senate joint resolution proposing to amend the constitution. The resolution will abolish all personal property taxes on individuals and has already passed the Senate 45 to 3. Should it pass the House, and Governor Ogilvie signs the same, it will be submitted to the voters by referendum at the November election in 1970. Senator Collins believes, "The referendum will overwhelmingly be approved by the voters." aiiiiHiHniiiiniinmiiiiiiimiiiiimiinniiiiiiiiiiiinniiiiiimiiiiii»m»»»»'|IIIIIIIIIH|11^ +hjtp0int ROOM AIR CONDSTSONER PRE-SOMMER SALE! Mayor Donald P. Doherty is shown cutting the ribbon marking opening in the new location. Justen Furniture, Inc., is now open and doing business at 3611 W. Elp., McHenry, former home of McHenry Savings and Loan. Less than a month after the disastrous fire which consumed the top two floors at Elm and Green, Justen Furniture, one of McHenry county's oldest firms, through the cooperation of some of the top furniture manufactureres in the United States, is now re-stocked with factory fresh furniture from wall-to-wall. Because of the smaller quarters, Justen Furniture, Inc., has had to come up with an all new pricing policy so that they are now more competitive than ever. The new alignment of the corporation now shows Dennis H. Justen, president; H. Earl Riley, vice-president; Catherine Orthwein, secretary-treasurer; Mrs. Paul Melin, interior decorator and Ira Dean Bixler in charge of wifrehouse facilities. PLAINDEALER PHOTO ALFORD S.
