After a wedding trip to Wisconsin, the couple will reside in Wonder Lake. Ellis, an outstanding Negro attorney from New York City, will deliver the address during Carthage college's ninety-fifth annual commencement exercises to be held Sunday, ^June 8, in the Phys-Ed center at 3 p.m. The Rev. Marcus F. Otterbein, staff'official with the Board of Parish Education of the Lutheran church in America at Philadelphia, Pa., will preach the Baccalaureate sermon Sunday morning at 11 a.m., in the Phys-Ed center. The total graduating class at Carthage numbers 316 this year. Among them are Lynn Hartmann, Social Science major of 2903 N. Regner road, education major, 2117 W. Church street, McHenry. HOLD BAPTISM SERVICES FOR TWO BABY GIRLS Little Jennifer Lynn Bauer, daughter of the Roland Bauers, was christened on May 18 in Christ the King Catholic chur.ch in Wonder Lake by Father Conro. Sponsors for Jennifer were Pam Bauer and Dennis Schmitt. A supper was held the following Sunday for the family, including, brother, Kevin and Randy, sisters, Noreen and Janet. Mr. and Mrs. Urban Bauer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Schmitt and family, Mrs. Olivia Bauer and Mrs. Frances Schmitt. On Sunday, June 1, Wendy Brennan, daughter of Kenny And Barb Brennan, was christened in St. Patrick's church in Mo' Henry with Miss Pat Brennan as godmother and Jim Kwiatkowski as godfather. Following the christening, the Brennans entertained the family for dinner. AWAY FOR WEEKEND Leonard and Phyllis Aekerman and family, Luke, Juanita, Brian, Craig and Cris spent the holiday weekend with his folks, the Senior Charles Ackermans in Prentisis , Wis. ATTEND GRADUATION Clara and Jerry Tonyan and family, Charles, Roger, Ruth' and Leon, attended the graduation reception for nephew, Wayne Manke, in Woodstock on Sunday. FORMER RESIDENT DIES Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Leo Newlin, formerly Miss Zellah Stevens, sister of Mrs. Agnes Jencks. She just recently had returned after spending the winter in Florida, and died of a heart attack in Hudsonville, 111., on May 26. Her husband passed away several years ago, and she is survived by three daughters as well as her sister, Mrs. Agnes Jencks. Sympathy is extended to the family from friends in Ringwood. BIRTHDAYS ETC.
