Rev. Fr. J. McGonigle officiated at the 2 o'clock nuptial rite which united fn marriage the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.J. Chiero of 5511 N. Neenah, Chicago, and.the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Low, 3707 W. Maple street, McHenry. The attractive bride approa- " ched the altar wearing a silk organza gown with modified empire, full A-line skirt, long, puffed sleeves and detachable court train. Her headpiece of pearl and crystal leaves held in place a floor length veil. Acting as maid of honor was €arol Zimny of McHenry and" bridesmaids were Marie Kas, Kathy Hoffert, Marge Masonick, Lynn Peterson, Sandy Hoffert, Kathy Jolie and Sandy Maertens of Chicago and Pam Zimny of McHenry. They were attired similarly in lime green dresses featuring linen skirts and chiffon bodice with natural waistline, long puffed sleeves and linen collar and cuffs. On their heads they wore chiffon leaves trimmed with pearls. Each carried an L-shaped bouquet of yellow pom poms and baby's breath. Tim Low of McHenry served as best man. Groomsmen were Mike and Kelly Cow, brothers of the groom, Larry Chiero, and Keith Chiero of Chicago, brothers of the bride, John Zimny and Roy Moss of McHenry, Neal McCauly of Iowa, and Jeff Panzica of Chicago. Mrs. Chiero chose a light blue dress with bugle beading. Mrs. Low was attired in a yellow lace dress with matching coat. Following a champagne hour at the bride's home for sixty guests, 250 friends and relatives gathered at the Johnsburg Community club for a reception. The newlyweds are now enjoying a motor trip to Colorado Springs and upon their return will reside at 8260 Jambouree Circle, Colorado Springs, Colo. Boyer of Kalamazoo, Mich. They wore sleeveless A-line floor-length navy blue gowns, edged with white lace daisies around neck and arms. The veils were attached with white daisies with navy blue veiling. They carried multi colored flowers of yellow daisies, purple and pink carnations, a red rose and ivy. Attending the groom were David A. Boyer, Kalamazoo, Mich., as bestman and David Keeler and John Corelis, both of Moline as groomsmen. Mrs. Bush wore a yellow A-line linen dress with jeweled collar and matching accessories. A camelia corsage was pinned on her purse. The groom's mother was attired in pink lace, street length, short sleeved sheath with matching accessories and she also had a camelia corsage on her purse. A reception was held at the church parlors following the ceremony and a buffet dinner was served at the home of the groom's parents. , The young couple will live in Kenosha, Wis., where the bride is a fourth grade teacher, having graduated from Carthage college in Kenosha. Her husband is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign, Urbana 'and is a junior high science teacher in Kenosha. MR. AND MRS. THOMAS H. SCHAFFER GAYLORD PHOTO OSRITAL McHENRY SENIOR CITIZEN'S KITCHEN BAND Kitchen Band Enjoys Gala Lunch, Outing The McHenry Senior Citizens club kitchen band were invited recently for a gala luncheon and outing at the home of Dolly and Rocco Mazzarella, at Wood Chuck Point, Wonder Lake. The day was beautiful, and the band members and their spouses enjoyed themselves strolling around the grounds, admiring the flowers, watching the men on the water, visiting and partaking of the delicious lasagna, salad and other goodies. Later in the day the ladies were invited; into the "little theater" and were treated to viewing the trip the Mazzarellas took on the "Oregon Bear" which was very entertaining and gave a much cleaner picture of the habits and customs and terrain of the Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese people. Thfomas Schaffer Claims Bride In June 14 Nuptial A late spring wedding uniting Miss Kathleen Ellen Kozicki and Mr. Thomas H. Schaffer in marriage was solemnized Saturday, June 14, at 2:30 p.m. in St. Mary's Catholic church. Two vases of spring flowers decorated the altar. The pretty bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Kozicki, 4320 W. Clearview drive, and the groom the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Schaffer, 3613 W. Waukegan road. For her wedding Miss Kozicki chose a floor length white gown designed with raised.waist with thin satin ribbon around it and dainty bow in back with thin streamers, a controlled skirt, long puffjed sleeves ending in tiny tucks at the wrist and bordered with dainty nosegays, a high Victorian neckline with tucks in front of dress from top to bottom bordered on each side by nosegays, full train starting at raised waist to floor bordered with nosegays. A three tiered illusion veil with flowered headpiece of lace petals and organdy flowers with interspersed tiny pearls completed the costume. She carried a round bouquet of white daisies, carnations and baby's breath. Attending as maid of honor was Miss Merri Schaffer of Chicago, sister of the groom, Mrs. Cindy Ciura of McHenry, close friend of the bride, and Mrs. Mary Lou Shepski, Chicago, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids. They were attired in floor length aqua chiffon over satin dresses with long tapered sleeves ending in tiny ruffles, and four small satin covered buttons, raised waist surrounded with thin aqua satin ribbons with bows at back and long thin streamers, controlled skirts, simple round necks with tiny stand-up ruffles. Their headpieces were four daisies with delicate net petals and interspersed with pearls. Mrs. Ruth McQueeny ofWauconda was the matron of honor, The bridesmaids were Georgia Clark, Wauconda, sister, of the bride, Judy Clark, of Cary, aunt of bride, and Karen Syens of Wauconda, sister of the groom. The attendants wore nylon over satin powder blue dresses which were empire waist with long sheer sleeves. The waist and cuffs were embroidered with little blue flowers with green leaves. The groom's brother, Peter Syens, of Wauconda, was bestman and another brother, David Syens, Hans Wolter, Wauconda and Tom Lewandowski of Crystal Lake were groomsmen. A pink brocaded coat dress with white accessories was the choice of the bride's mother while the groom's mother was attired in light blue crepe Aline dress with beige accessories. A reception for 250 guests was held at the Wauconda Legion hall, after which the young couple left on a short trip and will make their first home in Wauconda. The dress had an attractive jeweled neckline and her corsage was white carnations and yellow roses. Approximately 135 guests attended the reception at the American legion hall. After a week's trip through the northern states the young couple will live on Third street in McHenry. Both young people attended McHenry high school. The bride is secretary to director of public affirirs for the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers, Chicago, and Mr. Schaffer is a welder for Jemison Electric Box and Switchboard, Inc..
