MICHAEL HOPP CHRISTENED Little Michael Scott Hopp was christened at St. John's church in Johns burg on Sunday with his Aunt Joyce Hopp as godmother and Jake Hopp as his godfather. A family dinner was served by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Hopp, to a host of relatives and friends. CARD CLUB MEETS The ladies card club met last Wednesday in the home of Mrs. Clara Cristy. Mrs. Mabel Hawley took high score for the afternoon with Miss Mae Wied- rich taking low. CALIFORNIA VISITORS Mr. and Mrs. Wolf Shadle have enjoyed a visit from their son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Shadle, and family from Miraslite, Calif. They also spent some time with the Pries fam­ ily in McHenry. Sally Shadle served her cousin, Susan Pries, as bridesmaid recently also. They returned to California on Wednesday. BIRTHDAYS, ETC. Happy anniversary to John and Clara Klapperich, who cel­ ebrate on the thirteenth -- and to Mrs. Mabel Hawley, a wish for a happy birthday (Mi the six­ teenth -- birthday wishes to Bettie Winston on the seven­ teenth -- and on the nineteenth, happy birthday to Vince Tonyan --on July 20, best wishes to my Uncle George Schmitt on his birthday. ' Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Br en- nan, Wayne and Wendy, spent the past week on a camping trip to the Wisconsin Dells. Pat and Jerry Nation of Springfield called on her grand- mtitfier, Mrs. Fred Wiedrich, Sr., on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Lily Visconti and Mrs. Nellie Hepburn went to Mil­ waukee to call on Mr. and Mrs. Bob Schuetze, where Bob is a patient in the hospital. They then motored to Sheboygan on Saturday and called on Mr. and Mrs. Frank Block and fam­ ily, Mr. and Mrs, Howard Hinz and family and Mr. and Mrs. Harley Rush and family. On the fourth, Mrs. >allie Hepburn spent the day with her, son and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Blackmon, and family at a family picnic in Antioch.
