We saw the original circus wagons and the Calliope music boxe^used in the early 1900's. Some of the wagons could never be re placed. They were all carved in gold figurines of all kinds. Also stopped at Devils Lake, a beautiful lake, and took the • ferry boat over Lake Wiscon sin at Merrimac. That was fun. We stopped at Spring Green, Wis., to see the House on the Rock. It is surrounded by some of Wis consin's most beautiful scen ery. We also stopped at New Glarus and got some fancy lace, etc. .. PARADE PARTICIPANTS i Mr. and Mrs. R. Caldwell of Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schaeger of Ashley were in the Senior Citizens parade in a shiny 1915 model T Ford. The ladies wore dresses from the same era. Mrs. Caldwell's brother, Dale Dewey, and wife from Clearwater are visiting them. Bert Welker, our president of the Senior Citizens, did a good job keeping Seniors in the Float in a jovial1 mood. VISIT SON Mr. and Mrs. M. Devereux, 4412 Sussex, spent a week with their son, Ronnie, in Chicago. They all came back here for a memorial serice for their son Mike, Jr. ENTERTAIN CLUB Mrs. \farion Kauth entertain ed the pinochle club. They said they had a great time. Mrs. Eastman won first prize. NEW GRANDPARENTS An error was made in the 385-7515 name of Mr. and Mrs. Phol. It was Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Paul who were new grandpar ents, of a little baby girl who lives in Minnesota. NEWS BITS Mrs. Wilson's nephew, Leon Del Valley, and his wife from Danville stopped by to see them on their way to the Black Hills. Mrs. Wilson entertained her canasta club on Tuesday. New in our Whispering Oaks area are Harry and Vera Jor- gersen, 4632 Front Royal, Mr. Jorgersen has been retired since Jan. 1. They moved in here June 25 and find every one to be so pleasant.
