Paul street, Porten subdivision, Mc- Henry, died on July 25 in Mc- Henry hospital. Born on March 17, 1911, in Norman, Oklahoma, he was 58 years old. Mr. Cobb is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Kufahl; his mother Ellen Hoskins Cobb, of Sullivan, Ind., ; his broth­ er, Chester, of Jaspess Ala.,; a sister Mrs. Bervil (Nannie) _ Smith of Sullivan, Ind.,; and another sister, Mrs. Orville R. (Cassy) Harris, of Newcas­ tle, Ind. Friends called at the Quer- hammer funeral home, Crystal Lake on July 27. F uneral ser- . vices were held at Immanuel Lutheran church, Crystal Lake. He was buried in Crystal Lake « Memorial park on Monday. ELIZABETH M. BROOKS Funeral services were con­ ducted at the Peter M. Justen & Son chapel Monday afternoon for Elizabeth M. Brooks, 72, of 7018 W. Bull Valley road, McHenry, who died Friday, July 25, in McHenry hospital, where she had been confined twelve weeks. Rev. Richard N. Wright of the Wonder Lake Bible church officiated at last rites, follow­ ed by burial in Ridgewood cem­ etery, DesPlaines. Mrs. Brooks was born in Denmark April 4, 1897, and came to this country at the age of 16. She was married to Robert W. Brooks on May 5, 1917, in Chicago and they moved to this community twenty-six years agtJs. Besides hW husband, she is survived Jay four daughters, Mrs.. Evelyn (Sam) Olsen of Chicago, MrsV Helen (Elmer) Becknell of McHenry, Mrs. Bet­ ty (Wilbert) Henk of Chicago and Mrs. Jean (Chester) Grandt, •VjcHenry; one son, Robert, Jr., of Mount Prospect; fifteen grandchildren; seven great­ grandchildren and one sister living in Denmark. HELEN COMESKY Helen Comesky, 83, of 7216 Chippewa drive, Wonder Lake, was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial hospital, Wood stock, Saturday, July 26. Michael, Wonder Lake, died Sunday, July 27, in Harvard hos­ pital, where she had been con­ fined for two days. Mrs. Egly was born in Chi­ cago Sept. 17, 1904. She moved here from that city seven years ago. Survivors are her husband, Joseph; one daughter, Patric­ ia (Gerald) Kammier of Sko- kie; three grandchildren; one sister and two brothers resid­ ing in California. Rev. This year, for the first time, the Breath of Life campaign has been designated as ben­ efiting children with Cystic Fi­ brosis plus other chroAic lung diseases, some of which clos- ly resemble Cystic Fibrosis but are not genetically induced. Rosemary sleeps every night in a mist tent that brings mois­ ture to her lungs, breaking up the thick mucus that ^dangers her breathing.
