Schneider. The congregation had de clared July 27 as "101 Sund- day," a day when every mem ber of the parish was asked to attend a special communion service and to bring a friend in order to assure 101 per cent attendance at worship. The two worship services on that day were very well attended, making the project a complete success. Hie project was coordinated by church board members, Wally Schultz and Glen Ander son. Those who participated directly in the special worship service and presentation for the day included Alan Olson who led in a special congregational prayer, Rosemary Schneider, who offered a vocal solo, and George Kammerer, who led in i. singspiration involving camp songs. A girls' singing group under the direction of Mary Jane Boelens performed for the congregation. A "101 Sunday" presentation was made to the church school children by Nellie Cina, after which Glen Anderson dis tributed gifts to all of the chil dren. Added features of the day in cluded chauffeur service to and from the church for anyone who desired it, a light breakfast served to all who attended, and a telephone "reminder ser vice" which contacted each home on Sunday morning. A large staff of church members donated food, time and talent for the success of the under taking. This special event in the life of the parish was promoted by the church board composed of Don Williams, president, Wally Schultz, Glen Anderson, Rich ard Blundell, Phil Mowrer.Roy Roadman, Howard Dowell, James Boyer, Fran Lamerand, Mike Benjamin and Pastor Rog er Schneider. Shepherd of the Hills Luther an church will continue to of fer unique and varied programs in its parish life in order to make meaningful the Christian message.
