This ordinance shall be published within ten (10) days of its enactment as pro vided in Section 1-2-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code and shall be effective from and after the first day of October, 1969. Section 6. An ordinance entitled, "Ordinance, Municipal Service Occupation Tax", passed on the 20th day of May, 1968, is hereby repealed effective Oc tober 1, 1969. A tax is hereby im posed upon all persons engaged in the business of selling tan gible personal property at re tail in this city at the rate of one per-cent of the gross re ceipts from such sales made in the course of such business while this ordinance is in ef fect, in accordance with the pro visions of Section 8-11-1 of the Illinois Municipal Cpde.
