<r J JOHN BLAKE A funeral Mass was offered Monday morning in St. Mary's Catholic church for John Blake, one of the city's oldest and most respected residents. Bur­ ial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Blake, whose home was at 1501 N. Richmond road, Mc- Henry, died Saturday, Aug. 16, in the Pistakee Bay Nursing home. Mr. Blake was born Dec. 3, 1879, in the McHenry-Johns- burg community and lived here all his life. He was a dairy farmer until retirement. The deceased was a member of St. Mary's Court, Men's Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Holy Name society of Si. Mary's church. Survivors include two daugh­ ters, Mrs^-Harvey (Eva) Nye of McHenry and Mrs. John (Regina) Reinert of Elgin; three sons, George P., Albert S. and Arnold of McHenry; seventeen grandchildren thirty-two great-grandchildren; four sis­ ters, Sister M. Ildefons, O.S.F., Sister Arcadia, O.S.F., and Sis­ ter Jeremia, O.S.F., all of Campbellsport, Wis., and Mrs. Margaret Freund of McHenry; and three brothers, Joseph, Frank and Anton, all of McHen­ ry. Visitation was held at the George R. Justen & Son fun­ eral home. WAYNE R. TESCH Wayne R. Tesch, 61, of rur­ al Spring Grove died Thurs­ day, Aug. 14, in St. Therese hospital, Waukegan. The deceased was an em­ ployee of the American Steel Treating Co., Terra Cotta, for seventeen years. Besides his widow, Lorraine, he leaves a son, Francis, of Los Angeles, Calif., among oth­ er survivors. Services were conducted Monday afternoon from the K.K. Hamsher chapel, Fox Lake, with burial in Cole cemetery, Spring Grove. PETER E. THEIS, SR. Peter F. Theis, Sr., 48, of 4908 Barnard Mill road, Ring- wood, was pronounced dead on arrival at McHenry hospital last Monday, Aug. 18. A World War II Navy vet­ eran, Mr. Theis had operated a crane at North Pier termin­ al, Navy Pier, Chicago. The deceased was bom March 2, 1921, in Elmwood Park and for the past six years had re­ sided at Ring wood. Survivors are his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Gter- ald (Carol) Koath of Carpen- tersville and Mrs. John (Nancy) Freunden of Pistakee High­ lands; a son, Peter E. Jr., of Algonquin; three step-chil­ dren, Thomas, Richard and Catherine; four grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Marie Hof­ fman Theis, Rogers Park; and two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Reit- ter of McHenry and Mrs. Fred Olson of Prospect Heights. His father, Ludwig E. Theis, preceded him in death in 1966. There is visitation in the Peter M. Justen & Son fun­ eral home. Rev. Parker of the Ringwood Methodist church will officiate at last rites to be conducted at 11 o'clock Thurs­ day morning. <• WED. CRISTY WED FIFTY YEARS -- Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth E. t'risty of Won­ der Lake will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 24, with an open house at the American Legion home, McHenry, from 2 to 5 p.m. Hosting the celebration are the Cristys' five children, John, Woodstock; Kenneth, Jr., Chi­ cago; Bobbette Fossum, Ringwood; Bill, Wonder Lake; and Jerry, Crystal Lake. They extend a cordial invitation to relatives, friends and neighbors who are able to attend the dpen house this Sunday.
