Dave Smith is assistant extension adviser, agriculture, and Miss Susan Ross is assis tant extension adviser, Home Economics. The 4-H Federation officers plan and conduct activities of a county-wide nature, and much of the successful projects one sees at the fair are a result of Fed eration members efforts. One of the interesting projects has been grounds beautification. COUNCIL FOR EXCEPTIONAL TO HEAR PHYSICIAN Another has included an attrac tive 4-H display and a suitable backdrop for the official 4-H king and queen photo each year. Last year's officers received praise at the organization meet ing for their effort in making the public more aware of the value of rural living and of service to the community. "We think 4-H projects and 4-H activities are a good way to spend extra time," says Schultz, McHenry high school senior in his seventh year of 4-H. - Many boys and girls who live in small towns or cities are becoming active in 4-H because of the wide number of projects from which to choose. We want to top last year's mem bership of 1,227."
