An October wedding which came as a surprise to their rel atives and friends took place at the home of Rev. Fr. Clifford Wilson of Volo suf fered painful injuries on Mon day when his arm became caught in a corn shredder at the Joe Passfield farm. Joe Schmitt, perhaps better known to the school boys as "Joe the Janitor," received a card from Nick Miller, "Class of '29" who is attending Crane college and he reports that he has survived the final cut of the basketball squad and is now sure Crane is due for a cham pionship. Nick is occupying his old position at guard where he has starred for the local high school for the past two years. Bruce Klontz fell on the slides at school and broke his arm. Alex Justen saw the football game at the Cubs park Sunday where the Bears defeated the Minneapolis Red Jackets 27 to 0. His election was unan imous at last week's meeting of the fair board at St. Charles.
