A death which shocked the community occurred Dec. .5 when Charles D. Bacon passed away at his hpme in Ringwood. His illness was one of only a few short hours, heart disease having been the cause of his death. Mr. Watkins has been with the village police force for seven years and was ser geant for the past four months. He lives in Wauconda, is mar ried, and has two children. Also at the meeting, rep resentatives from the River- woods Development Corp., were present and explained its plans for a model development on the old Wing and Fin Club property. The representatives went into some detail to explain away some problems which the Vil lage of Lakemoor thought per tinent. The village board an nounced that they would discuss this development with each oth er and residents of the vil lage and notify the corporation as soon as possible its action. Terrence is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brady of Lakemoor. In attendance were matron of honor Mrs. Kenneth Thorp (sis ter of the bride), Jane Rapp, Rhonda Haas and Jacqueline Brady served as bridesmaids. HOME ON LEAVE Herbert Zabroski is home on a twenty day leave from the service. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Zabroski are looking forward to having a happy holiday with all of their children. HOME FROM HOSPITAL Clifford Hyatt has returned from the hospital and is doing well. Also home after minor surgery, Paul Starzyk, also do ing well. Hettermann of Charles Herdrich and Son, P.O. Box 548, McHenry, was one of the key distributors attending Miller Brewing company's re gional marketing meeting Dec. 3-5 at Miller's corporate head quarters here. Miller conducted the meeting to provide a dialog on the for mulation and implementation of. its comprehensive marketing plans. They also had a chance to tour the Miller's Milwaukee plant, which has a more than four-million barrel capacity. KIWAWS NEWS WONDER LAKE CLUB The club program last week was presented by Jim Mason of Johnsburg, director of Fleas- ant Valley farms, and Jerry Tobin, who handles public re lations. The farm, owned by the Com munity Renewal society (for merly Chicago Missionary so ciety) is a non-profit organi zation working with the aid of two foundations to aid poor people of lower ethnic groups to orientate them to self help and self determination. The farm is/located south Woodstock, Jfist off junctior of Rtes. 47 and 176, consis-"^ ting of 460 acres. This is a year 'round pro ject. Its facilities are used both by the day and week. Last year about 10,000 people vis ited the farm. Those included underprivileged children. Scouts, church groups, com munity groups, schools and col lege groups. The facilities are also used for seminars of var ious groups. Dec. 22 is the Christmas par ty. Each member will bring a grab bag gift.
