The initial mailing was completed Dec. 22. New batches of microfiche cards will be sent to the a- gencies each month for the first six months of the year, re placing the earlier lists and containing up-to-date informa tion, including transfers and . recent registrations, Secretary Powell said. The second mail- 1 ing will be made about Jan. 15, and should contain 1,500,000 listings, he added. The microfiche system of ;listing motor vehicle registra tions information was begun with the 1969 registrations, and . its development during this year made possible the early distri bution of this information for 1970 registrations, Mr. Powell paid. • The first listings for 1969 Vvere forwarded in March, which yvas still a month earlier than delivery began for the old print ed lists which were out of date by the time they were printed, Secretary Powell said. In ad dition, he added, the listings sent on microfiche in March this year was the equivalents of the amount sent no earlier than August under the printed lists. The Reicherter scale, at the firm's McHenry plant, can be used to inspect both compression and extension springs. ICS uses the scale especially to insure ac curacy and quality of springs for such critical applications as engine valves, clutches, and hydraulic equipment valves pro duced for the automotive and farm machinery industries. The Operator of the scale is Plus Rayunas, 614 W. Morland, Wau- kegan. : BIRTHDAY PROGRAM Immanuel Lutheran church, Missouri synod, of Crystal Lake is initiating a unique birthday offering program to commem orate its centennial! year, 1970. Each member of the congrega- - tion will receive a birthday card prior to his birthday ob servance. It is customary for cine'to receive a gift on a birthday, but this program sug gests giving a gift -- an an niversary thanksgiving offer ing to the Immanuel debt re tirement fund as a token of ap preciation to the Lord of Life who has so abundantly blessed and sustained the honoree. The message contained in the birth day card, "May,the Lord of Life Who has sustained you to this hour continue to watch over you, Keeping you strong in His service," carries out the centennial theme, "Sustain ed for Service." The world's most important tree crops are timber, rubber, tea, cacao, coconut, bananas, fruits, nuts and palm oils. Father John Strzalka Pastor d .eis, always busy ' " ' 7 "4 " " „ , Marilyn deserves an "A" in Communications. Unfortunately, that is not one of her courses, s Do you suppose when we were young we had less to talk about? Fewer opinions worth stating? Quieter friends? Anyway, home was never like this! Still, apart from the inconvenience, I have no strong objec-. tions to Marilyn's monopoly of the wires. Indeed, it has served to refund me more than once of the tremendous need of this youthful generation for the right kind of friehds and the right sense of values. Fortunately/ our church has been an important influence on Marilyn's life in both areas. Religious education has Postered i moral and religious odhvictions which are shaping her character. Whether it's "girl-talk" or "boy-talk" that is keeping our line busy--it's just part of the normal, wholesome growing-up of a teen-ager. \ ST. PA1 CATHOLIC CHURCH lev. Edmund Petit - Pastor Rev.
