Hoffmann, age 73, as pres­ ident of that -bank, effective Jan. 31, 1970. Mr. Hoffmann had previously retired from an­ other suburban bank and had a- greed to assist in the forma- finn and initial operations of The First National Bank here. In a ceremony at the bank on Saturday, Jan. 31, Mr. Hoffmann was presented with a com­ mendation from the board of direcors and a silver tray from the directors and staff. The commendation and tray were engraved to express the bank's appreciation to Mr. Hoffmann for the advice, counsel and many hours he contributed in the devlopment of the new bank.
