BROWNIES EASTER EGG HUNT Brownie Troop No. 414 along with leaders Mrs. John Apple and Mrs. Maurice Foley walked from the Methodist church in town to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ehlen on Country Club drive for an Easter egg hunt on Monday, March 23. Fol­ lowing the excitement the Brownies were served refresh­ ments by mothers of the troop. Activities such as the egg- hunt make it possible for the Brownies to have fun while learning and preparing for Girl Scouting. REMINDER ON SCOUT-O-RAMA Scouts in our area will be around selling tickets for the Kishwaukee District Scout-O- Rama to be held May 16 from 1 to 9 at the Cary Grove high school auditorium, Three Oaks Road, Cary. PARTY NEWS My little Donnie celebrated his second birthday March 27 ty. Gue with an afternoon party. Guest* included his sisters Faith "and Cookie, Vickie and Michelle Frett, his cousins,' Barbara and Cathy Grasser of Holiday Hills, Frankie, Gregory, and Rickle Suthers of Palatine, his Aunt Connie and Aunt Georgeanne, and Mommy and Daddy. Donnie had a nice time, got lots of toys and Mommy got a headache, but a good time was had by all. NOTES TO THE MOMS With the recent tragedy in Wonder Lake it's a good time of year to remind the kids to stay away from the already high water and melted snbw. A word or two might avert a heart-breaking incident. Hope you all had as pleas­ ant as Easter as we did and are enjoying(?) having our lit­ tle darlings out of school for a week. Sure was a surprise snow-storm March 26, funny how something so unbelievably beautiful at 6:30 a.m. can be such a mess by noon... Till next time....
