And though we have fumed inwardly, up until now we have remained silent. But yesterday, we heard a car maker bragging about 22 miles per gallon. .And that is the last straw! 22 miles per gallon, indeed. That's like a mouse bragging about its size. 22 miles per gallon. Incredible! Look. Our Renault 10 gets better mileage than any other car in its class. To be precise, it can get 35 miles to each anu every gallon of gas. When we designed the Renault 10, we paid attention to one, self-evident maxim: ANY MONEY POURED INTO A GAS TANK IS GONE FOREVER. MP In fact, we would like to get better than 35 mpg, but our engineers tell us that it is not possible. Not without sacrificing our comfort or reliability or handling or speed. For $1725, P.O.E. we have a pleasant little car. That gets 35 mpg. And we are happy with it. But when we read that someone has the gall to say that 22 miles per gallon is good mileage •/•*#©•/ 35 mpg 26 mpg. 22.5 mp« 15 8 mpg OLDS 88 MAVERICK VOIKS RENAi RHUnnn GOETTEL MOTOR SALES Rte. 120,3 Miles East of McHenry - Phone 815-385-3330 PROUD INTRODUCTION -- Shown introduclr* WGN-TV weather man Harry Volkman, is Tom Maenner, a sixth grader at Valley View school, where Volkman presented an interesting program to the students on April 10.
