Albin Johanson, 4508 Sussex, enjoyed a day at the ball game with his grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Peach and the Dis- neys spent an evening at Mrs. Wallin's home enjoying her beautiful flower garden and had some good Pflaumann pie made in German style. A Terrarium was planted by Ruby Paul, 4712 Cumberland Circle, in a 6% gallon glass jug. It is most unusual. Ruby also plants these gardens in tall bot tles, any glass container. She uses homemade tools to get the plants down through the narrow spout or bottle neck. She planted a garden ina large gallon jug for her daughter six years ago, planted a 5 inch palm tree in it among other things and now the tree is coming out of the top of the bottle. Mrs. Paul has many interesting hobbies. They have tomatoes out of their gar den already. Besides all the birds that are in their yard and being fed they have a pet raccoon that has Ave babies that come up for feeding every night. Mr. and Mrs. William Uhler, 4716 Cumberland Circle have their sixth grandchild. She is Jean Laurie and she lives in Newark, Ohio. ENJOY PLAY, LUNCHEON A number of people from our area enjoyed a bus trip spon sored by the Senior Citizens Club, to Marengo where they were treated to a lovely lunch at noon and to a play in the theatre in the afternoon. It was a lovely day and everyone enjoyed them selves. NEW RESIDENTS New in Whispering Oaks are Mr. and Mrs. EdGebhardt, 1122 Cumberland. The J are from Chicago. Mr. Geb^ardt works in the suburbs of Chicago. They have a daughter, Susan, who is going to college. The three married children are Karey, John and Eloise. BIDS FAREWELL Mrs. Margaret Skoog, 1403 Sussex, wishes to bid ferewell to all her wonderful neighbors and friends. She says she will remember them all the rest of her days. She is moving tg> north to be near her relatives. We will miss her and her faith ful Rocky. Here K There III BUSINESS IN SCHOOL PROGRAM Robin L. Ruzicka, Tri-Mar- ine, Inc., Wonder Lake, re cently completed the two-week factory service school program at the Johnson Motors complex in Waukegan, Illinois. He was part of a class, drawn from dealerships throughout the world, which explored the finer points of the famous Sea-Horse line of outboard motors. Once, it was cheaper to park your car, than to drive it. t FOREMOST U-w M .• A M E R I C A ' S D I S C O U N T L I Q U O R S U P E R M A R K E T S 1 ON SALE AT THIS STORE ONLY - JULY 15th through JULY 18th Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Saturday 4512 West Route 120 ML THESE VALUES!
