DeWANE STUDIO PHOTO Josephine Cina, James Browning Married Friday A wedding of interest was held at St. Catherine of Siena Cath olic church, Dundee, Friday, Nov. 27, when Miss Josephine Cina, daughter of Mrs. Joseph Cina of Dundee and the late Mr. Cina, became the bride of Mr. James Browning, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Browning of Aurora. Rev. John Vaughn and Rev. Francis Draude officiated at the 6:30 evening service. Mrs. James Severance of Elgin, a close friend of the bride, was soloist for the ceremony. , The church was decorated with floral bouquets of gold, yellow and white pomps and mums. 'f The pretty bride chose a floor llhgth, candlelight white gown of embroidered satin with a princess silhouette featuring silver and white trim at the collar and cuffs. Her three- tier veil was attached to a matching satin Juliet headpiece. Silver flecked shoes comple mented her bridal ensemble. She carried a bouquet of vio let, orange and gold autumn flowers. Miss Francine Parisi of Dun dee, a cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Peter Kress of Al gonquin, Miss Susan Lalleman of Schaumburg and Miss Mar garet McMillan of Dundee. Fifteenth Annual Snow Ball Scheduled December 5 The fifteenth annual Snow Ball dance sponsored hy the Lake land Park Women's club is scheduled Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at the Legion home, 2505 N. Ring- wood road, McHenry. The annual dance la always a gala event which has comedo be regarded as a highlight of the pre-holiday social season. A fine orchestra will fur nish music for dancing, but those in charge say that whether or not you dance, everyone should plan to attend and en joy listening to the music and visiting with friends and neigh bors. Tickets are available from any club member, or from the ticket chairman, Lyda Radisch, 1712 N. Knoll avenue. They also will be sold at the door. Marie Cross serves as club president and Ruth Roach is ways and means chairman. Senior Citizens' Plans Include Holiday Party filled with autumn straw flow ers. Dennis Erford of Columbia served as best man. Grooms men were Calvin Myers and Lawrence Ward of Aurora and Michael Hrechko of Minooka. The bride's mother wore a floor length, coral chiffon, pant gown trimmed with jewel trim at the collar, cuffs and bodice. The groom's mother chose a' floor length brown chiffon pant gown with a velvet coat-vest trimmed in gold braid. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception for 100 guests was held at Floyd's res taurant, Dundee. Miss Cina will receive a B.S. degree in education in January, 1971. She is present ly teaching fifth grade in a West Chicago school. Mr. Browning graduated from Aurora college in 1967 and attended the Ameri- ican Institute of Foreign Trade, Arizona, for graduate studies. His present occupation is an import-export coordinator at Packard Instrument company. Following a short wedding trip, the newlyweds will live in Aurora. Woman's Club To Hear Christmas Music Dec. 11 "Christmas Music" will be the appropriate program for the McHenry Woman's club pot- luck luncheon to beheld Fri day, Dec. 11, at 12:30 p.m. The ladies will listen to selections presented by the McHenry cam pus high school chorus, direct ed by John Leighty. DECEMBER 12 The Friendship Club-Month- ly Pot-Luck Dinner and Christ- YMCA Families See Disney On Parade Jan. 2 Cliff Fagan, Lake Region YMCA program chairman, an nounced the location of the next family bup trip planned for Saturday, Jan. 2. The group plans to attend the 8 p.m. performance of Dis ney on Parade at Chicago's In ternational amphitheater. The performance will last for more than two hours. The stage per formance will include Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia and the Love Bug plus many more! Thirty children's and twenty adult tickets have been ordered. The registration fee includes bus transportation and admis sion tickets. Families desiring to attend should contact the YMCA by noon Dec. 5. Registrations are completed with payment of the fee. Registrations without fees will be held as long as there are not ample registrations with fees turned in. Tickets may be picked tip at the Lake Region YMCA. The cold and wind did not "cool" the enthusiasm of the McHenry Senior Citizens club members who attended the Nov. 23 meeting. President Baker thanked the members for com ing out in the cold, and compli mented them on their prompt ness and good attendance rec ord. Committee reports were giv en, and program co-chairman, George Binder reported that reservations have been made for filling two busses for the trip to Chicago. He also men tioned that reservations are still being taken for the Pas sion Play at Bloomington May 2. Interested persons should make reservations promptly. Social Chairman Helen Strandquist advised that the ab solute deadline for reservations for the annual club Christmas party dinner is Dec. 7. Seat ing is limited, so notify Louise Giel at once as there will be no more meeting of the club before the Christmas party. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., and there will be lovely background music during the dinner. The program will be gin about 7:30 p.m. and will include a choral group. Santa Claus will find time in his busy schedule to drop in for a visit and maybe present a few gifts. Miss Glysing is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken neth G. Glysing of 1303 W. Northeast Shore drive, McHen ry, and Mr. Terry is the son of Mrs. George H. Terry of New Albany, Pa. They repeated their vows be- for Rev. Bartz at the 5 O'clock candlelight service. Mrs. Rob ert Ritthaler of McHenry, sol oist for the ceremony, sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "The Wedding Prayer". The church was decorated with floral bouquets in autumn hues with wheat accents. The bride chose a full length, white satin gown featuring a lace overlay bodice, high neck line, A-line skirt, fitted lace sleeves and a detachable train bordered with lace applique. Her shoulder length double tiered, silk illusion veil was attached to a satin bow head piece. Mrs. David Brough, Jr., of McHenry, the bride's sister, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Star West of Mc Henry and Miss Arlene Tengan of Elk Grove Village. The bride's niece, little Kelly SPEAKS FOR CLUB -- Jeffrey Ladd, 32nd district delegate to the convention of the Ill inois Constitution, was the guest speaker of the Woman's Club of Wonder Lake at its re cent meeting. Mr. Ladd, Mrs. G. Ernst, pres ident of the Woman's club, and Mrs. J. Szurek, chairman of public affairs, were pleased to have presented this meeting to the club. Mr. Ladd spoke on the convention and a question and answer period followed. The December meeting of the Woman's club will be a Christmas dinner at a local restaurant. Brough of McHenry, served as flower girl. The maid of honor wore a full length, empire gown fea turing a chocolate brown, vel vet bodice with antique gold satin skirt. The bridesmaids and the flower girl wore sim ilar gowns with antique gold vel vet bodices and matching anti que gold satin skirts. Their floral headpieces matched their bouquets, which were composed of gold, orange and brown straw flowers accented with straw baby's breath and natural col ored wheat. The groom's brother, George H. Terry, Jr., of Horseheads, New York, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jay Young H of Dillsburg, Pa., and David Brough, Jr., of McHenry. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Glysing chose a burnt orange A-line dress with a matching lace coat. The groom's mother wore a mint green brocade dress. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception for sev- enty-five guests was held in the church social hall. Miss Glysing is a 1965 grad uate of McHenry Community high school and now works as a secretary for United Air Lines, Elk Grove Village. The groom graduated from Mans field college, Mansfield, Pa., and is presently employed as a parts-accessories representa tive for Chevrolet division of General Motors in Broadview. For their wedding trip, the newlyweds spent a weekend in San Diego and in January,they Santa Will Visit Weekend Choral Program Santa Claus has promised to make his annual visit to West campus auditorium next Satur day and Sunday evenings, Dec. 5 and 6, during intermission of the holiday program of the Mc Henry Choral club. He will dis tribute candy to all youngsters who attend. The program will open on the familiar Human Christmas Tree in which the entire club will be featured in colored and black light, complete with or naments and bulbs. Below the human tree will-be beautifully wrapped presents in a section of well loved music called "A Gift of Christmas". The "Hansel and Gretel" a- daptation will be an abbreviat ed presentation of the fairy op era which has delighted many generations of children and adults. Two talented young peo ple, Carlene Grinstead and Steve Kasprzyk, will be featured in the title roles, with the chor us providing background music. Four selections in formal at tire will conclude the program. They are "Sing of a Merry Christmas", "Alleluia", Roy Ringwald*s "Song of Christ mas" and Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus".
