Miss Linda Ann Blundell was a pretty bride on Sunday, Dec. 27, when she approached the al­ tar of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, McHenry, to meet her bridegroom, Mr. Pe­ ter Wayne Vanderpan of the United States Navy. Miss Blun­ dell is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Shannon Blundell of 1619 North Mar drive, Mc­ Henry, and the bridegroom, of Key West, Fla., is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Leslie R. Van­ derpan of 2009 Derdall drive, Brookings, S. Dakota. Rev. Donald D. Johnson and Rev. Leslie R. Vanderpan of­ ficiated at the 4:30 afternoon ceremony for which Randy Bap­ tist sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Wedding Prayer". The church was decorated for the occasion with candelabra flanking the altar and white poinsettias. The altar center­ piece was of white mums, snap­ dragons and deep red roses. The dark haired bride wore a gown fashioned of satapeau and re-embroidered alencon lace, styled with long pointed sleeves, semi-scooped lace, scalloped neckline, basque waistline, demi-bell skirt ex­ tending into a rail watteau chap­ el train. Her bouffant illusion cathedral length veil and three tier elbow length veil were se­ cured to a camelot headpiece of matching re-embroidered al­ encon lace and tiny seed pearl highlights. She carried steph- anotis and white roses. Maid of honor was Miss Mary Vanderpan of Brookings, S.D. The bridesmaids were Miss Jane McCrary, McHenry, Miss Joan Wilcoxson, Weathersfield, Miss Colleen Steinbis, Elgin, and the flower girl was Lisa Boyer of McHenry. v The attendants wore formal length gowns fashioned of ruby velvet. The high Victorian neck­ line and cuffs of the long full bishop sleeves were enhanced with dyed to match Venice lace. The bodice was fitted, with high rise waist and soft dirndl skirt. Their picture hats were trim­ med with dyed to match velvet ribbons. The flower girl wore pink roses in her hair. The girls carried bouquets of white carnations and red roses. The best man was Brian Ol­ son of Summit, S.D. Grooms­ men were Norman Vanderpan, Timothy Vanderpan, both of Brookings, S.D., James Blun­ dell, McHenry, and Roland Kemink, Sioux Falls, S.D. Ter- rance Boyer of McHenry was ring bearer. Mrs. Blundell wore a pale mint green coat and dress shan- tisilk ensemble with matching accessories.
