Jan. 4 will now have double cele brations in the family. Kimber- ly Jane arrived at McHenry hospital at 2:32 p.m., one month" ahead of her scheduled arrival. Kimberly weighed in at a very petite 4 lbs., and niCH" WA W1IV* VMVUi W wVlWVV sured 16% inches. Her proud Jim's wishes as he shoveled maternal grandmother is Mrs.the drive. Jim returned to his G. Vandenack of Oconto, Wis., subdivision to the Belzer fam ily. # HERE AND THERE Get-well wishes are going to Phyllis Hintz who has been quite ill with pneumonia and to Karen Marino who was a hos pital patient during the past week. Hope everyone else who has been hit with colds and flu is feeling much better. Enjoyed a call from Jane Grothman during the week. Son Pfc. Jim was home on leave for the holidays to celebrate his twentieth birthday on the first. He so hoped for snow, brother Mike didn't apprsciate and pater nil grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Belzer, Sr., of Chicago. The wee miss also has a paternal great grandfather, William Barnick of Chicago. Kimberly is his 101st descendant and sixtieth great grandchild. Pm sure I express the best wishes of the entire base at Fort Polk, La., the day the storm hit. Jim will be transferred to Fort Benning, Ga., within a week to begin his N.C.O. school. We had three grandchildren here from California also pray ing for snow, which they thor oughly enjoyed. The house seems empty and oh, so quiet What happens when you're offered $16,000 for your $22,400 pile of ashes? You take it if you haven t increased your home insurance to Keep pace with inflation This is the kind of problem you could face if you bought and insured your home for $18,000 in 1963 See me to find out if your home is insured for its full value I'll tell you about a low-cost State Farm Homeowners Policy that will insure your home for all it's worth and keep it that way with automatic Inflation Coverage. DENNIS CONWAY STATI FARM INSURANCI 3315 W. Elm McHenry, 111. Ph. 385-7111 STATE FARM FIRE and CASUALTY COMPANY Home O f f i c e : Bloomington, I l l inois after the ten day visit of our Marine son, Dave, his wife, Donna, and their three children, Davey, Doneen and Denise. There were times when visitors and family made me wish we had a room stretcher, especi ally at meal time but we loved every minute of it. It all ended too soon. Heard former resident Char- lene Wimmer suffered a chip ped bone in her ankle from a* freak accident. Hope you're up and about Char. Get better soon wishes to two of my granddaugh ters, Michelle, who has a strep throat, and to Denise who left for sunny California with a very bad cold. Mrs. Mary Burrafato sure did up becoming a grandmoth er and great-grandmother. She became a grandmother on Dec. 11 to Keith John Fardella and on the sixteenth a great-grand mother to Mark Christopher Dowell and on New Year's Eve • she on:3 again became a great- grandmother, this time twice, with the arrival of identical twin sons to Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Blietz. The boys are named Jeremy Dale and Scott Allen and each weighed in at 4 lbs., 12 ozs. Looks like the' month of Decer.iV«!v'll be a busy one for trucks, bats, balls and trains for Mary. Enjoyed a postal card from Pat Schwegel in far off Lux emburg, said she was having a great time and it was very exciting. My appreciation to Pam for proving to family mem bers that there is a Luxemburg. It's been a family joke for so many years. Cathy Grey and Barb Oef- fling were hostesses at a ba- chelorette party honoring Bev Eggert last Friday evening. The party was held at the home of Cathy's sister, Carol, on Shore drive. Among the young ladies in attendance were Jackie Reeves, Delores Benchen, Francine Meyer, Chris Du- arte, Gaye Mormon and Patti Anderson. Understand there was a party crasher, no one hung around long enough to And out if the four legged intruder was male or female but amid all the laughing I did find out that Fran Meyer will make ex cellent material for the Olympic 100 yard dash team. All in all they had a ball. And oh, what memories and conversations the group will have for many, many years. Joailrie Plucinski is not a Peggy Flemming on ice skates but she sure has tried so hard in fact that Tom Linnane went through a great deal to present Joanne with a gold ice skate as part of her Christmas pre sent. Tom took one of his skates and painted it gold to give to her, he has hopes of becoming her manager. Joanne is proudly displaying her gold skate among all the other Plucinski troph ies, she is afraid it will be the only one she'll ever receive for skating tho*. Speaking of Christinas gifts, I sure have enjoyed the poinset- tias I received, (me from my bosses at the paper and the other 1 from my godson, John. Both are as pretty as the day they were received and I might add just as much enjoyed. Remember to watch for the youngsters with all the ice on our roads. They forget you as a driver must not. Now that the holidays are ov er and we've all settled down to routine lives, call your news to me or drop it off, if Pm not here there is a metal box my porch which I keep an o n . . . eager, hopeful eye on. I cannot write a column without every one's help. The subdivision is filled with many groups and or ganizations whose news can and should appear in this, our sub division column. Won't you help make our column enjoyable? LAKELAND PARK COUPLES LEAGUE That fun loving group of bowl ers will be testing their skills this Saturday evening.
