There will be Barbershop music by the "Four Bananas", left to right, Vic Kucera, Paul Le Maire, Bob Parker and John Lemonon. Also appearing with them will be another quartet called the "What Four", featuring Hans Andersen, Chuck Per- aine, Pat Brady and Jim Rother. These Men are an integral part of a non-profit organiz­ ation called S.P.E.B.S.Q.A., Inc. They prov­ ide support to a Logopedics school in Wit- chita, Kas. Homemakers In County Hear Security Talk The Homemakers Extension association held a county-wide meeting at the Farm Bureau building in Woodstock early this month. Elin Kris, a representative from the Social Security office in.. Waukegan, gave an in­ formative talk on problems that exist for many. There was a good turnout of interested persons who had a varied amount of problem questions to be answered or explained. Mr. Kris said that everyone should check his Social Security account by writing to the Social Security office in Waukegan or Elgin. They will send an informational card tfr be filled out. If there are questions or one wants to file a claim. it may be done by calling toll-free. Ask the operator for Enterprise 4505. A Social Security representative is at the Woodstock library every Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. to noon. It is focused on the theme, "Swing into Spring". Proceeds from the fashion show will be donated to the crippled children's fund. Others on the committee are Mrs. William Boyle, decorations; Mrs. Bill Sterka, refreshments; Mrs. William Haddick, tickets; Mrs. Jerry Bunting and Miss Adele Sable, posters; Mrs. Jerry Logowski, cleanup; and Mrs. Jim Basak, props. The program will include slides of missionary work done in Rhodesia South Africa, where Mrs. Elva Samuelson spent a year with her daughter and husband. The Louise Landon circle is in charge of the devotions and refreshments. The McHenry Town and Country Newcomers club heard Mrs. George Alvary, a member of the District 156 high school board of education speak on problems facing the district at the last meeting, held at Faith Presbyterian church. Among her remarks, Mrs. Alvary noted thatmany of the activities will be terminated, including the athletic programs of football, swimming, adult education, Senior Citizens and night programs, band and chorus, as well as drama, GAA, Student Council and art courses if there is not a favorable vote. The most drastic cut, she emphasized, would be in the counseling staff, and the positions of reading instructor and nurse would be eliminated. She continued by com­ menting that "of course, the most distressing part of all, our teaching staff which it has taken years to build would be cut to the bare minimum if the referendum does not pass March 20. Mrs. Alvary closed by quoting from Walt Whitman, "I would rather be taxed for the education of the boy than for the ignorance of the man-for one or the other I am compelled to be". During a short business meeting over which Mrs. John Ounderson president, presided, the following guests were in­ troduced : Mesdames Joseph Heavey, Jerry Pretzman, Thomas Gerling, John Beam, Robert Colbert, Michael Soft wools and knits that come just below the knee are being shown.
