Whispering Oaks Gertrude Disney 385-7515 George Harker New Alderman Happy In Area I have inaugurated a new feature for the weekly column in which various residents will write short articles about their taking up residence in Whispering Oaks. We have the honor of having the first one submitted by our new Alder man George Harker. In 1966, after a serious illness and extensive surgery, the time arrived for my wife and I to think about retirement. The next problem was a place to go. After much thought on Florida, Arkansas and other locations weN discovered Whispering Oaks, which at that time had just been opened. Needless to say, we liked what we saw, and after going through the usual tribulations of selling a home and moving to a new area, we settled down here in September of 1966. Since that time, not everything that happened has been for the best, still the balance I find it a nice place to live with good neighbors who have honored me by electing me their alderman for the next four years. RETURNS FROM VIETNAM Rick Doremeyer will be coming home for a fourteen day leave from Vietnam. Happy days coming up for the Doremeyers. He will be home for Mother's day and for their thirtieth wedding anniversary. TTien back to Vietnam again. CALD WELLS RETURN HOME Mr. and Mrs. Rulle Caldwell are back with us again, after spending most of the winter in their new home in Clearwater, Fla. They really enjoyed it down there having good times with their many friends. We are glad to see them again. They will spend the summer months here and abouts. VISIT SON We visited our son, D.
