GAYLORD PHOTO PERSONALS Mrs. Elizabeth Michels and Mrs. Rose Berkley returned last Thursday from a several days visit with their cousin, Pearl Heinz, in Min- )lis, Minn. Mrs. Berkley visited friends in St. Paul while gone. Mr. and Mrs. George Adams of Elgin visited McHenry friends Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Svalander of Gothenburg, Sweden, are spending a month with her mother, Mrs. Robert Conway, and other relatives here. On Sunday they attended a gathering at the William Weyland home honoring their son, Joey Weyland, who was a First Communicant at St. Patrick's church that day. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Berkley of St. Charles were recent guests of their step­ mother, Mrs. Rose Berkley, and took her out for a belated birthday dinner in St. Charles. Mrs. Arlene Johns of Elgin and Mrs. Jeanne West of Itasca were guests of their aunt, Miss Ann Frisby, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Petei; Schaefer enjoyed dinner followed by an evening of cards at the home of Mrs. Irene Lisowe in Lake Geneva, Wis., Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs.Richard Rapp of Rockford were Sunday visitors in the Fred Bienapfl home. Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Sprouse spent the past couple of weeks with relatives and friends in this vicinity e'nroute from Holiday, Fla., to their home in Camano Island, Wash. Mrs. Edith Jorgensen of Redwood City, Calif., is spending some time in the home of her brother, Leo Thompson. Rev. Richard Paddock, pastor of St. Joseph's church Aurora, and his mother, Mrs. Kathryn Paddock, were here to attend the golden wedding of the latter's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. William Rothermel, last Saturday. Rev. Paddock read the Mass which was sung by Mrs. Mary Ann Wegener. KIWANIS NEWS WONDER LAKE CLUB Gordy Gran presented the program for the May 3 meeting. A 20-minute movie by the Airline Pilots association showed the items of concern in regard to air ttSv^f^and." Ihe" operations performed by the pilot. It was reported that it now appears 100 people will par­ ticipate in the Saturday Kiwanis annual bowling sweepstakes to be held May 8.
