The words are appropri ate especially in view of our growing concern with the na tional environment. Pictures, and particularly movies, en able visitors to share their camping memories with fam ily and friends, and leave the parks unmarked for the mil lions who follow in their foot steps. . Movies especially can bring the beauty of the great out doors into your living room. Nothing recalls the color, fun and excitement of your camping trip better than a well-made movie. In this highly kinetic world of ours, nearly everything moves -- that's why movies are called "movies." With them you can preserve your camping trip, unfrozen and JULY 11,1971 McHenry lost to Marengo 3-0 as the whole game was the pitching of Marengo's Mackey. Mackey allowed only one hit-a first inning single by Tom Knaack-and struck out seventeen. He got everyone in McHenry's lineup at least once, getting LaFontaine three times. Marengo scored the only run it needed in the first inning on a single, a passed ball by Camasta, and another single. They added two unearned runs in the third on errors by Freund and Stauck. McHenry's next games are Wednesday, July 14 at Wood stock and Sunday, July 18, at home against Wonder Lake. continuous, exactly as it hap pened. Memorable Footage Of course, not every camp ing scene you shoot will be brimming with motion; the mountains simply won't co operate. But there is enough action on a camping trip to fill the screen with memor able and exciting footage. Before Kodak introduced the super 8 concept and the Instamatic line of movie cameras in 1965, outdoor movie-making was a big pro duction. Super 8 equipment changed that. The New Ko dak Instamatic M24 movie camera, designated the "sure-shot outaoorsman's camera," is the lowest-priced, fully automatic Kodak Super 8 movie camera, selling for under $50. With such auto matic cameras, which use drop in film cartridges, mov ie-making has become child's play; juslll insert the cartridge and shgot. Adjustments are automatic; and with im proved Kodak color film, even the tyro may feel as sured of excellent results. Let the movie tell the story of your trip. It is much more interesting and meaningful to watch your "feature" un fold on screen than to see a jumble of ill-assorted shots. Pre-Planning Important The quality of your results will depend on how well you've done your "home work" and on your camping destination. Pre-planning is important. Acquaint yourself with the place you plan to visit; know what you want to photo graph, such as the historical landmarks you will pass en route, and the park's out standing features. Other se quences you will want to in clude are the family pitching camp, the children doing chores, mom cooking. INSTANT BREAKFAST Mix your pancakes at horiie and take them along in plas tic storage containers. At the campsite, simply pour them onto the sizzling griddle and your breakfast is ready in an instant. The Extra Picture A photo represents a frozen moment in time. If something is.worth one click of a Kodak Instamatic camera, it's worth two. Be on the safe side. Re member, nothing is easier to take than that extra picture, yet nothing is harrier to re-^ place. Zenith offers an antenna coupler (range extender), about the size of your index finger, which can be used with most any radio model. The coupler is placed on the" outside of the radio in the vicinity of the interior built- in antenna, and is attached to a 50- to 100-foot antenna line and a good electrical ground. This will increase the strength of weak signals'* and also help pull in distant stations. Any insulated wire can act as a radio antenna when strung high above ground (between two trees, for in stance) . And a ground, while advisable, is not always needed. For extended FM range reception a make-shift an tenna can be constructed1 using standard TV antenna lead wire. Attach its two wires to the radio's terminals, hang it as high as possible, and split the two wires at the top like a "T** about 50 inches across. S - Campsite Entertainment -- A portable phonograph with AM radio is a youngster's delight at rampsite or picnic grounds. The Sportabout two-speed phono by Zenith operates from battery or AC line cord power. • • • GOOD&YEAR i SERVICE STORES GROUP 2 36 TO SELL GROUP 1 24 TO SELL f Whitewall Or Blackwall plus $1.76 to $2.45 Fed.
