Fritz of the Woodstock Police department charges that on Tuesday, Aug. 10, Gary R. Harrison of 3706 W. Main street, McHenry, com­ mitted the offense of curfew violation. Hearing date Sept. 20. Sgt. Gregory Burg of the McHenry Police department charges that on Friday, July 30, Stanley Janowiak of 3307 W. Pearl street, McHenry, com­ mitted the offense of con­ tributing to the delinquency of a minor. Bond $5,000, hearing date Aug. 26. Liquor Charge Filed Against Local Driver Warren L. Blackburn of 1020 Curran road, McHenry, was taken into custody last Monday morning about 3:30, and charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. Bond was set at $500, with court date Sept. 13. The arrest occurred after deputies observed the Black­ burn auto driving on Draper road, swerving from side to side. They attempted to stop the car by use of headlights but the driver ignored them. He also refused to stop when the siren was used. Blackburn finally stopped in the driveway of his residence on Curran road. Crystal Lake Lounge Ordered Closed For Year In Circuit Court last Friday, Judge Harry D. Strouse, Jr., entered an order that the revocation by the City of Crystal Lake Liquor Control commission of a liquor license for Christopher Metropulos, doing business as Christopher's Lounge, N. Main street, Crystal Lake, is sustained. The order also sustained action by the State of Illinois Liquor Control commission which sustained the City of Crystal Lake's order for revocation and denied a request for re-hearing as filed by owner Christopher Metropulos. Metropulos' complaint for an administrative review was also dismissed with costs to be assessed the plaintiff, Metropulos. Christopher's Lounge was ordered closed for one year as of 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13. Order Temporary Injunction For Total Tax Service A temporary injunction was entered last Friday afternoon in Circuit Court by Judge Harry D. Strouse, Jr., enjoining Cal Skinner, Jr., doing business as Total Tax Service, "from advertising, soliciting, or in any way seeking to represent persons, firms and cor­ porations in the payment of taxes to the County Collector of McHenry County under protest, and from the payment of said taxes under protest, or the doing of any act in furtherance thereof." The order provided that Skinner and his agents may inform their present clients as to what steps they themselves must take to pay their taxes under protest. This agreed order is the result of a complaint filed by the McHenry County Bar association alleging that Skinner is violating state statutes in "practicing as an attorney or counselor at law in Illinois without a license." The judge ordered that the hearing on the Bar association's original motion be continued until Aug. 27 but until such hearing is completed, the temporary injunction is to be enjoined Deputy Sheriff Dennis E. Podgorski charges that on Aug. 11, Richard C. Dulaney of 4704 W. Wonder Lake drive, Wonder Lake, committed the offense of violation of curfew. Hearing date Aug. 27. Deputy Sheriff Dennis E. PAGE 13-PLAINDEALER-FRIDAY, AUGUST 20y 1971 DOG BITES BENEFACTOR Last Wednesday morning, Linda Boyer of 7216 Oak street, Wonder Lake, stopped a county squad car to report that she had stopped to investigate when she saw four puppies and another dog apparently abandoned alongside the road. When she went to their aid, she was bitten by the larger dog. The woman reported to McHenry hospital for treatment of the bite.
