McHenry, was a pretty bride as she walked down the aisle of St. Patrick's Catholic church Saturday, Oct. 9, to meet her bridegroom, Edward M. Frett, son of Mrs. Edward J. Frett of 410 N. Country Club drive, Mc Henry, and the late Mr Frett. They repeated their vows before Rev. John Cahill at the 3 o'clock afternoon Mass in a church decorated with altar bouquets of yellow gladioli and bronze pomps. Musical presentations of "The Wedding Song", "Give Us This Day", "Ave Maria", and "We've Only Just Begun" were performed at the ceremony. The dark-haired bride chose a full length gown of white silk organza trimmed in chantilly lace featuring a high Victorian neckline, long tapered sleeves and a full skirt enhanced with a seed pearl design on the front. Appliques of lace and seed pearls trimmed the skirt and attached chapel length train. Her floor length, silk illusion cathedral veil was attached to a wedding cap outlined in seed pearls and chantilly lace. She carried a large nosegay of white daisy pomps, white ball pomps and white and coral roses. For sentiment, the bride wore "something old," a locket worn by her mother at ther wedding which was a gift of the \ MR. AND MRS. TED STILLING NEWLYWEDS -- St. Mary's Catholic church. Woodstock, was the setting for a pretty fall wedding Saturday, Sept. 25, when Jean Heider became the bride of Ted Stilling. Miss Heider is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heider of 1106 N. Queen Anne road, Woodstock. Her htr$%9nd, who resided with the James Hettermann family at 3914 N. SpringOrove road. Johnsburg, is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarenc^Stilling. The newlyweds are residing in Woodstock. PAMELA MICEK ENGAGED - Mr. and Mrs. T. Micek of Brookfield, 111., an nounce the engagement of their daughter, Pamela, to Ray Bottari, son of Dr. and Mrs. L.L. Bottari of Mcllenry. A Jan. 22, 1972, wedding is planned. Miss Micek attended Clarke college, Dubuque. Iowa, for two years and graduated from Barat college. Her fiance attended Loras college in Dubuque and McHenry County college. Leader Hosts Kitchen Band At Picnic, Party Friday was a day awaited with much anticipation, when Dolly and Rocco Mazzarella hosted the annual picnic and party for members of the McHenry Senior Citizens club kitchen band. After the most delicious luncheon, there were games of horseshoes, croquette, jarts and cards. It was a most enjoyable get- together. The surprise oc curred when the band members presented the two pianists, Eleanor Crawford and Lucille Deitz, with gift certificates in appreciation of the work they do in getting the proper arrangements for the band. The band members also .joined in presenting Dolly with a gift certificate, plus a leader's wand from the No. 1 Kitchen band. The band has now grown to thirty-two members, with many more requests for programs than they can present this season; however, requests are being taken for next season through the band secretary, Lyda Radisch. Flower girl was little Theresa Kuna of McHenry, a friend of the bride. The attendants wore full length crepe gowns fashioned with long bishop sleeves, high Victorian necklines and empire waists. The maid of honor wore a moss green gown, while the other attendants wore coral. Matching headpieces com pleted their ensembles. Each carried a large nosegay of bronze pomps, bronze daisy pomps and coral roses. Paul Dietrich of Elgin was best man. Groomsmen were Andy Schwarz of Milwaukee, Wis., Doug McHugh of Chicago, a cousin of the bridegroom, Chris Young of McHenry and Orval Stuckemeyer of Sycamore. Little Brian Adams, the bride's brother, was ring bearer. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Adams chose a mint green dress and coat ensemble and wore a white orchid corsage. The bridegroom's mother wore a gold dress and coat ensemble and a purple orchid corsage. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Johnsburg Community club for 300 guests. The young people were graduated from McHenry Community high school, the bride in 1966 and the groom in 1961. Cindy attended Northern Illinois university and is now employed as a savings teller a McHenry State bank. Edward (Ted) graduated from Loyola university, Chicago, with a B.S. degree. He is employed as general manager for Jessup Manufacturing company. After a two-week honeymoon trip to. Florida, the young couple will reside at 3703 W. James street, McHenry. A rehearsal dinner for the wedding party was held in the Edward J. Frett home. The bride was honored at two miscellaneous showers before the wedding. Mrs. Chris Young was hostess for a buffet shower held in her home and the other shower was given by the bride's aunts, Mrs. Morris Powell and Mrs. Jack Whalen, in the Powell home. Family Fun Fair Sunday At Hilltop Hilltop school's third annual Family Fun Fair will be held Sunday, Oct. 17, at Hilltop school from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. An auction will include items donated by local merchants. Among other attractions will be games, with prizes, and refreshments. The admission is free, but there will be a nominal cost for all games. Sponsor of the Fun Fair is the Hilltop Parents organization, which invites the public to attend. She is active in the G.A.A., the Pep club, which she serves as secretary, American Field Service, Student Council, journalism and year book. She is also a pom-pom girl.
