Bond Referendum Set Nov. 6 At Big Hollow PAGE 13-PLAINDEALER-WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 27, 1971 Information concerning the forthcoming bond referendum for Big Hollow School District 38 scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 6, has been released by the board of education and the architect, Charles Bradley of Bradley and Bradley, Rock- ford. The proposed school building will be a separate two-story structure located to the south of the present Big Hollow Grade school building. It will house grades 6, 7 and 8. The building will have nine classrooms, a POLITICAL CORNER DICK MEYERS CANDIDATE - Big Hollow school Science teacher, Dick Meyers, made it official Friday, declaring he is now a candidate for state Representative from the 33rd district. He will "kick-off" the campaign at the family home in Crystal Lake Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. The district includes McHenry and all of McHenry county not in the 32nd district. science room, library (in structional materials center), music facilities, a gymnasium- cafeteria, a kitchen, washroom facilities, locker and shower facilities and the school district's office. The need for additional classrooms has been very much a concern of the board of education. The present building is overcrowded. There is no art room, and no library. A number of the present classes have over thirty students. The board seriously con sidered adding classrooms to the present building, but felt that with the growth coming to the district, the best move would be to construct a separate, modern, junior high school building which can be easily expanded when the j enrollment growth warrants. The board is also seeking an increase in the Educational fund tax rate limit. The present limit is at $1.02 per $100 of equalized assessed valuation. The voters will be asked to approve a new limit of $1.15, an increase of 13 cents. A group of citizens has joined with the board to familiarize themselves with the proposals on the building program, and they will then call on the homes of voters in the district to explain | the issues and answer questions. The referendum is set for Saturday, Nov. 6. The Big Hollow school building will serve as the polling place. The polls will be open from noon until 7 p.m. Legal Notice Public Notice is hereby given that on October 22nd, A.D. 1971, a certificate was filed in the I Office of the County Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois, setting forth the names and post-office addresses of all of the persons owning, conducting and transacting the business known as FRAN'S LAUN DROMAT, located at 1404 N.
