Fred Meyer, president of. the Holy Name society of St. Mary's church, estimates that 150 members will be present at the communion breaKfast Sunday morning Oct. 20. The group will be addressed by Joseph J Leliwelt, chief bailiff of the criminal court of Cook county. A Spring Grove youth, Lewis Rudolph, 18. son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rudolph, has been in critical condition in the Zoodstock hospital as the result of a shotgun wound which shattered his right hand and arm The seventieth anniversary of the organization of the local Zion Lutheran congregation w ill be observed in two services next Sunday, Oct. 20. The first jubilee service will take place at 10 a.m. at which time the present pastor. Rev. F.C. Pudsel. will officiate The main jubilee will be conducted at the 2:30 service, when the former pastor. Rev. HP Meyer of Matteson, 111., will preach. The lovely homecoming queen for 1961 is Miss Gayle Bonder of Lakemoor and the handsome king is Bob Beckenbaugh of McHenry. It was a moment of well deserved triumph at the V.F.W. clubhouse last Saturday evening when the mortgage burning ceremony took place. The traditional "M" was among many formations presented by Paul Yanda's 70 piece marching band Friday night as a Warrior half time salute was made to a well represented homecoming alumni crowd "Breath Of Life" Campaign Over $175,000 Goal Commissioner Joseph I. Woods, campaign chairman of the Northern Illinois chapter's "Breath of Life" campaign and chapter president, David Shapiro, announce that this year's goal of $175,000.00 has already been surpassed with over $177,000.00 being con­ tributed. These totals show an increase of over $10,000.00 from last year's totals. Commissioner Woods stated that once again the wonderful people of northern Illinois responded to the call for help and have given generously to the fight against cystic fibrosis and related children's lung diseases. It is estimated thpt over 5 million this country suf- a lung damaging there are children in fering from disease.
