Registrations are being accepted at the Lake Region YMCA Openings Remain In Several YMCA Class Offerings With one week of fall adult programs completed, the Lake Region YMCA continues to accept registrations for Astrology, Knitting, Yoga and Volleyball All of the classes will be closed for further registrations after the third class session Astrology for women# is conducted at 95 N Grant street Wednesday afternoons from 4 to 6 p.m. It is scheduled for seventeen weeks omitting Thanksgiving and Christmas vacation periods. Knitting is on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The ladies will meet for eight weeks through Dec 7, omitting Nov. 24 at 95 N. Grant street in Crystal Lake. There are beginning and continuing Yoga classes for women Thursdays at 95 N. Grant street in Crystal Lake. The classes are limited to fourteen and are taught by Mrs. Nancy Roberts. Additional enrollments are being accepted for the 10:30 a.m. beginner's classes and for the 8:30 p.m. continuing classes. This eight- session program will meet each Thursday except for Thanksgiving and conclude Dec. 9. Volleyball for men meets Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. at Maplewood school in Cary. It will continue through Dec. 22, omitting November 25. The emphasis is on skills, rule in terpretation and team play. Longhway, son of Jim and Bev Longhway of Victoria avenue. Jim left Tuesday, Oct. 12, for a four year enlistment in the Navy. He will take his basic training at Great Lakes Naval Rase. Anniversary Program For Elks Lodge - On the evenik.gs of Nov. 5 and 6, the Elks of Woodstock Lodge 10i3 will celebrate their sixty- fifth anniversary at their lodge hall with two special programs. The theme of the Elks sixty- fifth celebration is "Charity" and the committee which is comprised of approximately twenty members has been hard at work for almost two months preparing to riiake this th#» biggest and most successful program ever held in the lodge. Friday evening, Nov. 5, a special suppfer and dance will be held a'nd the highlight of the evening will be a special auction sale. Merchants List Ceiling Prices By November 1 The Office of* Emergency Preparedness has announced that merchants must have a list of ceiling prices available for public inspection on or before Nov. 1. The list, from which the seller is required to provide information, must be available at the place of sale. George Lincoln, director of the Office of Emergency Preparedness, ruled that the ceiling price list may be a single master list for the entire establishment or, alter natively, separate lists of ceiling prices for each section or department of the establish ment.
