RE-ENACT NATIVITY SCENE The first grade CCD classes of Christ the King church, under the able direction of their teachers, Mrs. Janet Maksymiak, Mrs. Judy Grauman and Mrs. Bev Harris, presented a re-enactment of the Nativity scene at the annual Christmas party of the Ladies Sodality of the church on Dec. 2. Mrs. Maksymiak narrated the story while Sr. Lawrence provided the piano ac­ companiment. The children were dressed in suitable costumes for their parts and performed with ease and charm before their proud families and the ladies of the sodality. Appearing as Mother Mary was Janet Sullivan, Vin Cook was Joseph, the angel who appeared to Mary was Lisa Gallagher, thethree wisemen were Paul Fal­ low, Dan Huff and Mike Maksymiak filling in for Jerry Draffkorn who was unable to appear because of sickness, King Herod was Sean O'Don- nell, Innkeepers were Matthew Morrisey, Susan Blaha and Michelle Meckier, angels were Mary Oleszczuk, Mary Bazan, Brenda Berlin, Angela An­ derson, Beth Lance, Kathy and Kristy Frechette and Sherri Grauman filling in for Jacqueline Tyrrell who was also on the sick list, the shepherds were Richie Buss, Jimmy Olson and Tony Crumb and the Townspeople were Ruth Mahal, Danny Kiernan and Frankie Teresi. Following the play, the children settled down for some hot chocolate and Christmas cookies, when, lo and behold, who should appear but Jolly Old Santa (some say he walked like Fr. Tranel) with a gift for each and every performing star. It was an enjoyable evening for young and old alike.
