Proceeds will be donated to the Pioneer Center for Handicapped Children and Young Adults in McCullom l ake Husband-W ife Team To Host Club Style Show Mrs Carl Grinstead, McHenry Town and Country Newcomers club president, has announced that Mel and Jo Bellairs, WIVS lovable husband and wife management team, will host and narrate the "Happiness is -- a Newcomers Style Show" Tuesday, March 7, 8 p.m. at the American Legion home on Ringwood road The evening will be filled with fashionable spring styles supplied by local merchants, desserts made by the many newcomers, card tables set for avid card players and prizes The Newcomers cookbooks will be available, with proceeds from their sale and the style show donated to the Pioneer Center School for Handicapped Children and Young Adults. Now it seems that Maurice wants to see them and they are in a dither. Fortunately, the husbands are going on a weekend golf outing. Un- . fortunately, the weather is bad and they return at a most inopportune time. The situations are many and funny only in the style Noel Coward can make them. Frantz Christening For McHenry Baby Sunday The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Plutshack of 3701 Maple, McHenry, was christened Harla Ann in a baptismal service solemnized in St. Mary's Catholic church Sunday by Father Kulak, assistant pastor. Godparents.for the baby were Marilyn and John Michels of McHenrv, her aunt and uncle. Harla Ann wore the same dress in which her mother, the for mer Barbara Michels, and her godparents wore at their christenings. Income Tax Program For Senior Citizens The Feb. 14 program of the McHenry Senior Citizens club provided a very enjoyable evening for the membership. Mr Lehlo spoke on income tax and the Senior Citizen. A question and answer period followed, in which club members had an opportunity to solve their individual problems. This was followed by a Valentine party. The next meeting will be held Feb. 28. After the club business, Oscar Huetari, a member of the Island Lake Senior Citizens club, will entertain with his tricks of magic. Members are beginning to return to McHenry from winter vacations. It is expected that George Binder, chairman of tours, will have some in teresting trips planned for the near future. | L O U I S A ' S LETTER Dear Louisa, My husband died when I was ra theryoung and lef t me with four small chi ldren to s u p p o r t . 1 w a s a c o l l e g e graduate so I got a job and hired a housekeeper and got a long very wel l for four years when I marr ied the superintendent of my school . All of the chi ldren were mar- r t r ied ten years la ter when he ' fwas offered a bet ter job and we moved to another c i ty . I have made many fr iends here and l ike i t very much. Now my problem is this . M y h u s b a n d d i e d s e v e r a l months ago and al l of my chi ldren, who l ive in the place where they grew up, want me to move back to this former town, so that I wi l l be c lose to the famu; All four of my chi ldren have young chi ldren of their own and are very social minded so I am afraid I would end my days as a baby s i t ter i f I went back. I love rr.y grand chi ldren but I am also in terested in many projects and I l ike concerts and plays.
