Spearheading the 1972 Easter Seal campaign March 28-April 2 with Mrs. Thresile Guhrke of Harvard, campaign chairman, is Howard Fiedelman of Woodstock, president of the board of directors. Mrs. L.C. Easter Seal, like organizations of its type, is faced with increased expenses i n c l u d i n g e q u i p m e n t , professional and secretarial salaries. An increased load of patients focuses attention on the need for an expansion of the Therapy center building very soon. This campaign and Tag day special will give the op­ portunity for the people to participate in helping the crippled children and adults that are in need. Fiedelman pointed out that at the Easter Seal Therapy center handicapped youngsters are brought together to play and have fun but also they receive therapy treatment to make weak legs strong and fumbling hands steady. They are rehabilitated by physical and speech therapists-people who combine love with theif professional skills. Your gift to Easter Seals will give them a chance to someday join the world around them as active, useful human beings." During the time the Easter Seal campaign has been un­ derway, the financial returns of the letter campaign and the Tag day combined have not be6n sufficient to meet the expenses of operating the organization. Individuals, industries and other organizations of the county have augmented this problem each year. Tag day, March 25, will be conducted locally by McHenry Rotarians, with Hugh Fanning, Warren Kuhlman and Norbert Mauch, co-chairmen; and by Richmond Rotarians, with the Easter Seal Junior auxiliary headed by Miss Jane Kat- zenberg with the high school helpers. Army Training Travel Options Now Offered The Department of the Army has announced that the Army is offering new "Training and Travel" options for soldiers interested in combining Army schooling with overseas duty. According to Sgt. McCloskey, local Army recruiter, after training in the United States, enlistees in the Engineer, Missiles, Radio Repair, Automotive Repair and Military Police career groups are guaranteed sixteen months with the United States Army Europe. Those who choose Korea are guaranteed thirteen months in Korea and also have a choice of assignment, world­ wide, to any unit or geographical area where and when a vacancy exists in their job, and rank when they have completed their Korean tour.
